Not sure how old one has to be in order to be an old cranky fart, but I've been plenty cranky for awhile now so praise the Lord and pass the ammo.
(BTW: My solution was to teach the kids how to handle firearms and shoot. They're old enough. Yep, I still have a small mortgage left and I work for a living but what the hell, I can afford to semi-retire at this point and the kids can pay for their own college. I did.)

In Australia the government said, “Okay, you can own gun, but you have to register it.” When the legally owned guns were registered, they went door to door and took them away. An Israeli friend told me that, yes, you can own a gun in Israel, but it’s a pain in the *ss. (You can only own in certain areas, BTW.) You have to register it and maintain strict requirements, like yearly continuing education. He owned a gun, but fell behind on the requirements and the authorities showed up at the door and confiscated it.

Love it! It’s very sad when naturalized citizens are more patriotic, and love the Constitution, more than those born here. Of course, those from communist/socialist countries know the score, and appreciate what America offers — or used to offer.
Heck, I would keep the momentum even if they backtracked on the law and would make a move to secede from NY state itself.
Of course it won’t prevent the NY state KGB whores in need of economic fortunes to whore themselves out to the new free state, but, we can always try.
