From an Odessa American article, the state CSCOPE director says that “It's built by teachers, designed by teachers and that's what's powerful about CSCOPE".

Considering the politicization of some teachers, that might be what is dangerous about CSCOPE.

Texas right? You want something that represents socialism? How about depicting a big pile of horse or cow dung. No, wait. Those at least have some redeeming value as fertilizer.

Doesn’t Texas write most of the new school books?

big pile of horse or cow dung

You're exactly right.

The kids could have a lot of fun with this.

A graph pointing down, a flag full of tombstones, a toilet, the words "freedom" and "liberty" being crushed by a jackboot.

These are just a few ideas, I'm sure patriotic students can come up with even better ideas to pelt their "educators" with.

I wonder how soon Texans will be ready for their original Republic of Texas flag.

I have posted information on here before about C-SCOPE. It is leftist crap. Even the teachers complain about it and it’s very expensive. While Texas is very conservative, like the rest of the country our schools are infested with leftist pushing their agenda.

When will these asshole teachers be satisfied: Rewrite history
no heroes of freedom no patriots no statesmen! No great honor to a flag that represented Freedom to the World for 200+ years
We have infested our Nation with idiots that have no love for freedom until it will be taken away and then want and cry to be saved!
Our youth will suffer the thousand cuts!
As we suffer the thousand cuts as we watch with out true clear common sense and the ability to act on the Obama culture that has captured the fools of the Nation!
The second Revolution will have to occur not because of an
an Enemy abroad but from the enemy from within!
Wise up America what have you done! Doc

The Governor of Texas has no say in the education material for the state. This dubious honor is one of the TEA (NEA version for the schools of Texas)

True, but the Governor could use the executive branch as HIS bully pulpit and raise a big stink about this. If the roles were reversed, demoRAT socialist governors (and especially 0dumb0) never shy away from attacking anything on the conservative side or their policies & agenda. But Repubs constantly meekly hide behind some garbage piece of protocol that the RATs ignore all the time.

The symbols I would use would be a boot on the neck or a gun aimed at the head.

I would draw an AK47 with a 30 round Mag on it with a Swastika in the background and see what they thought of it.

The vast majority of 1st graders today are going to be full blown communists by the time they finish school.

“Now, where be all dem Texas freepers who swear that Texas will never “turn blue”....?”

Yeah, I’d like to know the answer to that too! All the Texans talk trash about the other states (most notably California) when they need to be tending to their own problems. Texas has an enviable economy at this juncture, but it looks like it’s education “system” is rotten at it’s core!

Texas is swirling down the same toilet California is.

The governor and Dan Patrick and every other republican state legislator could talk about seccession. But they won’t.
