Agreed. The Freeh Report can't withstand close scrunity by any objective measure. As for the NCAA, it deserves whatever pain comes it's way.
How? What did Freeh have to gain? PSU hired and paid him and his law firm to lay blame on the board of trustees and the administration? That makes absolutely no sense.
The Fan Club never gives up, and would dismiss any report, while babbling about “objective measures” and future “history”, as if any history remembered any college jock trainers. For people who had never heard about this pederast enabler Paterno before this scandal, the evidence presented is sufficient to make their own objective judgment.
You clearly haven't read the Freeh Report. He absolves the Trustees from any blame saying that they didn't know because they were left in the dark.
And let's not forget that atleast a third of the Trustees are political appointees from Harrisburg where, among other things, the state agency that approved all of Sandusky's adoptions and failed to indict Sandusky in 1998 is located.
Freeh's hatchet job protected the state government, the Trustees, the DPW, the CYS, the AG's office, and the Second Mile Charity.
Why do you lie? You're a mental case!
Freeh said Sandusky's conduct was in part a result of the school's lack of transparency, which stemmed from a "failure of governance" on the part of officials and the board of trustees. He said the collective inaction and mindset at the top of the university trickled all the way down to a school janitor who was afraid for his job and opted to not report seeing sex abuse in a school locker room in 2000.
They've now begun with outright lies.
That's what I said. you half-witted idiot. You are as full of accusations as your hero Louie. Are you incapable of comprehending words like him as well???
You've got the same mental illness that Freeh does. No wonder you worship him.
And btw -- let's deal with Louies's lie here:
He didn't throw them all in the same boat. He didn't single out members of the Board as he did members of the administration.
And he goes on to accuse Spanier, Schulz, Curley, and Paterno in his report of a "cover-up" -- not a "failure of governance".
Louie knows very well that "cover-ups" are part of "governance" as he has been part of a lot of cover-ups in his years in government, and this report of his was one as well.
"Failure of governance" is what Louie reserved for the Trustees. It's politi-speak that means "they weren't part of the cover-up".
These are the same Trustees who approved Sandusky's retirement agreement and gave his charity a sweetheart deal to stay on campus. Is that "failure of governance" or contribution to the delinquency of a child molester.
You should quit while you're behind. You're only digging Louie a deeper hole.
This could explain things.
Your logic is inescapable. To help their guy, Paterno’s defenders must defy commonsense, and the stretch is considerable. Clearly, Paterno DID NOT WANT TO KNOW. His ignorance was willful. Inescapably, he placed Penn State’s reputation, and his own, above the welfare of children.
No liar, you stated, "He absolves the Trustees from any blame"
Maybe you are so ignorant you don't know the meaning of absolve.
Absolve | Define Absolve at Dictionary.com Absolve, acquit, exonerate all mean to free from blame. Absolve is a general word for this idea. To acquit is to release from a specific and usually formal accusation...

Tou'd better deal with your own first. If you are representative of PSU, the institution should be even more ashamed.
The only mindless worshippers on this thread are the child molester apologists.
That's new to me and probably to them.
Can you name the Trustees who he claims participated in this Sandusky cover-up and exactly what he claims that they did???
Your spin and obfuscation is immature. Read this again and explain exactly what it is that you fail to comprehend.
"Freeh said Sandusky's conduct was in part a result of the school's lack of transparency, which stemmed from a "failure of governance" on the part of officials and the board of trustees.
Can you name the Trustees
The "board of trustees" is inclusive. They allowed the POS Sandusky access to the PSU facilities which he used to molest children.
Is he including them in the cover-up as well???
How is that relevant to your claim that Freeh absolved the board of trustees?
Because when you are "absolved", you are absolved of "something".
Absolution has an object or wrong from which you are absolved.
Read your definition.
Spanier, Schulz, Curley, Paterno were/are accused of a coverup of Sandusky's crimes.
Is the Board of Trustees accused of the coverup by Freeh as well or are they absolved of the coverup by Freeh???
Your spin and obfuscation is immature. Read this again and explain exactly what it is that you fail to comprehend. "Freeh said Sandusky's conduct was in part a result of the school's lack of transparency, which stemmed from a "failure of governance" on the part of officials and the board of trustees.
Cut the BS and answer the question.
Exactly. The dynamic of McQueary seeing what he saw Feb 2001; telling JoePa the next day. JoePa later telling the Grand Jury that yes, 'twas a "sexual act" involving a boy.
And then the timeline of McQueary coming on board as a coach in early 2004...somebody in such close proximity to Joe that Joe could have readily secured an "update" from McQueary on how -- or not...and what...or not that content of any discussions included.
Joe thought it more "convenient" for the Penn State reputation to leave that kid hanging int he wind...to be abused for yet another day...and day...and day...
Indeed...JoePa's apologists on this site are "inspirational" for other cover-up artists of pedophilia...
