If he stole a PU, then why would he still be at the cabin? If he's at the cabin, then he didn't steal the PU.

He invaded one cabin, tied them up, took their truck which was almost out of gas, ran out of gas, and invaded a second cabin. At least that's the story presented an hour ago.

Or... as is usually the case: Everything reported by the media is wrong in some way. The real story happening on the ground is probably quite different from what it all seems from the reports.

Every time I’ve been “inside” an event that was reported in the news, they always got it wrong. Every time. Sometimes in little ways and sometimes in big ways. But always wrong. Names, times, dates, places, or the order that things happen... it was always the case.

If there were no hostages I'm sure they would have already. Since they didn't, I suspect there are innocents holed up with him. It would look bad if the cops ended up shooting more innocents than the creep did.

Also, they've got 3 mountain roads coming away from Big Bear that are now jammed bumper to bumper with thousands of vehicles as they search each one....Night fall is coming, and it will get below freezing....

I think that was the situation earlier. The woman that owns the cabin said that there isn’t cable or Internet. He has no way to communicate even if he wanted to. I doubt that he would hurt anyone not associated with law enforcement. He had the opportunity and didn’t.

Yes, and then Obama will probably say that men and women of many backgrounds demonstrated how guns should be properly used to apprehend criminals even in a battle-like situation — thus promoting his gun, immigration, and women-in-combat agendas — and thanking California.

The 2 paper ladies were innocent bystanders....in the way of the LAPD's bullets.

I’m just trying to think how you go from “he’s pinned” to “road trip!” There had to be a misdirection of some sort, or else a complete lapse in the attention of every officer watching the place.

The police didn't have 360 degree coverage surrounding him. Usually some dumb perpetrator is hold up in some house who sits on his rear giving the police time to come in force at a later time. Dorner didn't wait for all that to happen.
