“I used to think that after five years of this corruption and Unconstitutional nightmare we would have come to a we are not going to take it anymore moment. Looks like people are too cowed to stand against self ruination.”
I have a theory on this. Those of us who “took to the streets” in ‘98 to protest the clintoon’s abuses of power are now 15 years older. It seems like every time I come to FR I see another oldtimer has passed or has health issues. Bottom line: If Congress won’t take action, it’s up to the people to MAKE them uphold the law — it’s clear to me that Congress will not do anything unless We The People get organized and do something more than sit at a keyboard complaining. Take to the streets like we did in 1998.
Yeah, well... there may be a problem. The younger people who have the energy and health to take to the streets are now the Millennial Generation. As a general rule, these are kids who grew up getting rid of their frustrations by banging away on a keyboard or playing video games instead of addressing a problem head-on. They don’t remember the power of “real-life” in-person protests in the 60’s and other times of social upheaval. They may not realize that some problems cannot be solved by a computer. They don’t even know what life is like without one.
Yeah, we have a problem, alright.
I meant to include you on that one in case you had an opinion.
