Hours after Destini Warren, 14, attended President Barack Obama’s speech against gun violence Friday, her family learned of a terrible irony.
Destini’s sister, Janay McFarlane, 18, was the victim of the very thing that the President was condemning at Hyde Park Academy in Chicago.
McFarlane, of the 8900 block of South Lowe Avenue, was visiting friends and family in North Chicago when she was shot on her way to a store in the northern suburb, her family said.

It would have been a "Statistical anomaly" if someone had not been shot in Chicago on a week end day, several someones at that.
This is such an awfully reported story. How was she shot? Who shot her? Any suspects..oh, excuse me “persons of interest?” Why is it that the paper left out pertinent details? Did the poor woman trip over a gun that went off, or was there an evil gun lying in wait for her just itching for the opportunity to shoot someone? Who knows?
If McFarlane had been at Hyde Park, where there were lots of people legally carrying loaded guns she would be alive today. Instead she was in a gun-free area and it cost her her life.

She was shot just hours after hussein’s speech. Ergo, hussein is responsible for gun violence. (That would be radical left wing extremist demokkkrat logic.) Not that he will actually ever be held responsible for anything.

Hadiyah Pendelton was killed by gang bangers targeting other gang bangers, but wait, she was smoking pot with second set of gang bangers.
Gang bangers usually have such poor aim or gun control that they could not hit the broadside MO.
The problem is not gun control, the problem is aim control, dumb ass gang bangers cannot hit what they aim at, put the homeys on the range with a little education.
Then watch the fireworks begin, pols going down like citizens, suddenly there will be no gun control problem
