Md. Senate Passes Gun Control Measure 28-19

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ)—Maryland is a step closer to enacting some of the strictest gun control legislation in the country.

The Maryland Senate passed an amended bill that keeps the governor’s original plan for gun control intact.

...

Since their rally Feb. 6, gun advocates have continued to protest what they believe is a violation of their Second Amendment right to bear arms.

And those arguments were echoed in the Senate chamber Thursday.

“We are taking that right away from law-abiding citizens,” argued Senator Nancy Jacobs, (R) Harford County.

In marathon sessions, the senate amended and passed the Firearms Safety Act of 2013 28-19.

“You know if you have a gun you’re not going to be happy with the bill,” said Senate President Mike Miller after the vote.

I certainly expect Beretta to hold good to their word that they don’t bluff. It’s time to go Beretta.

If there is a Tea Party candidate, somehow they have to listen to Rush or Dana Loesh a few hours a week. Somehow our guy in Indiana was clueless that the “war on women” meme was paramount for the MSM/Democrats in 2012.

Rush pointed that out in January 2012 when journ-0-list Stephanopolus telegraphed it. Even low information conservatives like myself totally understood it.

Nothing quite like turning upstanding citizens into enemies of the state by the hundreds of thousands.

They implied they’ll go. I hope they do and take their tax dollars with them. Hopefully they can offer the current employees job offers.

We have discussed leaving Maryland often lately. It will be tough leaving the family behind but a free and warmer state seems more than likely to be our answer.

Good. Go south, the Deep South. I recommend Alabama or Georgia. Both offer gun rights. And the climate ain't bad. You get the four seasons with the bonus of winter not being severe. Of course, it's hot in the summer, but hell, it's hot almost everywhere in the summer.

Berretta is considering moving out of MD if this passes according to news reports:

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/02/27/gun-maker-beretta-considers-leaving-maryland-as-omalley-pushes-tougher-gun-laws/?intcmp=trending

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/feb/26/gun-maker-beretta-threatens-leave-maryland-take-hu/

I don’t own any Berretta’s, but will buy one if they move due to this law passing.

I will not comply if this garbage becomes law.

Nor should you nor any other Maryland gun owner. They cannot imprison all disobedient gun owners; there is simply not enough room.

And you can bet your ass it will become law.

If this gets enacted I’ll have to move my contraband out of state until I can leave permanently in a few years. Until then I’ll still have some “Politburo Approved” guns in case the party starts before I get out.

I’ve looked over that Maryland bill and it’s blatantly unconstitutional.

It shouldn’t be able to stand up to any real court scrutiny but this is the era of Obama.

I do not own a gun, but I stand with those who do, armed with my edged weapons! It is a basic Freedom, guaranteed by the Bill of Rights, and won with the blood of our Patriots, past and present!

As the country divides up between free and slave, I’m afraid Maryland is a lost cause. It’s like I tell the Californians, you have to leave, the decision is between a USA free state or offshore.

The more the communists go out of control in the occupied States the more good American Citizens will pack up and leave them in their dust.

The Free States are steadily gaining motivated common sense Americans that do not allow revocation of their rights. They are good solid workers and reliable voters, having already voted with their feet.

The Free States will eventually be so successful with their superior population there will no longer be a need for secession. They will simply let the communist states crumble into nothingness. They will have "gone Detroit."

Free states will have “gone success.”

Secession by Success!

I also own no guns. Lost my legal rights when I beat down a robber fifteen years ago and a liberal judge had queer ideas about my “duty to flee”.

I first walked into a dojo in the late 70’s, and practice MA daily now. I’ve never had to use a weapon to defend myself, my hands have been enough...but I do believe in carrying a small stout knife as well, as a tool if nothing else, but always one that lends itself to tactical use. I recently lost a simple folding tanto I carried for many years, and ordered a neck knife I thought would be a good replacement. When it arrives I might do a review ;^)

Don't get lazy down their. The Democrats have a strategy in mind to take over your state. Better get your sheet together and get ready to fight them.

Soon, the law-abiding will be criminals and they will be hunted down and prosecuted with a zeal that has never been used against real criminals since the days of Ness.

I heard about this bill driving to work and can’t remember the last time I was that angry. And decided then that there is no way to abide by this.
