GOP House Approves CR That Funds All Obamacare—Including Regulation Attacking Religious Freedom

The Republican-controlled House of Representatives voted 267-151 on Wednesday to approve a $982-billion continuing resolution (CR) to fund the federal government through the rest of fiscal 2013 that fully funds the implementation of Obamacare during that period.

The House Republican leaders turned aside requests from groups of conservative members to include language in the bill that would have withheld funding for implementation of all of Obamacare, or, alternatively, that would have withheld funding for the Obamacare regulation that requires health-plans to provide cost-free coverage for sterilizations, contraceptives and abortion-inducing drugs. …

The Roman Catholic bishops of the United States have unanimously declared that the sterilization-contraception-abortifacient regulation—whose enforcement will now be carried out with funds approved by the Republican-controlled House—is an “unjust and illegal mandate” that violates the “personal civil rights” of individual Americans. …

It is truly pathetic that only two Texans voted for shutting the damned US Federal Government down until they pass a Federal Budget, as required by the US Constitution.

These are the only 14 worthy to be called Republicans in the US House of Representatives, as quoted from the above article as follows:

I can let a lot of stuff slide, but not this. These assholes had the perfect opportunity to slow down obamacare and fix the egregious anti-religion rulings. But no.

Lincoln's lofty hope seems to be in immediate danger. I had hoped that the Republicans would stand up for freedom, but no luck there. Government of the people, by the people, and for the people is flickering like a match in the wind.
Well, here's your problem. This government is "of the people". Americans voted for Obama, the second time with no way of misunderstanding what he represents.

That's the sorry state of affairs we have allowed to happen around us. Now we have a lot of work to do if we hope to undo it.
