House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi says Democrats will "not allow" the government to shut down over a looming budget fight and expresses hope that a bipartisan Senate proposal would be "stronger" than the House Republican plan to avert such a scenario.
"We certainly are not going to have the government shut down," the California Democrat said in an interview aired Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union." "When we weigh the equities of the value of the bill the Senate has, it's almost impossible for it not to be a better bill than what is written by the House Republicans. But they will have to send a bipartisan bill in order to get the 60 votes. And I'm sure it will be stronger."

More likely, another blame the Republicans ploy.
The Pubbies should require as part of any deal that Obozo makes a TV statement that he lied about the ‘Sequester’ and that it will in fact result in an increased total government spend, albeit smaller than previously planned. Tape the message and replay it endlessly. However, I believe that there is something in negotiation tactics that says to never offer your ‘opponent’ a crushing defeat if you wish to ‘negotiate’.
