BTW, I was friends with SK before he ever even ran for the senate in Iowa. I helped get him elected to congress. Even SK knows the necessity to elect majorities and if we want to empower people like SK, we do all we can to send every possible Republican to office, which means there are a lot of Freepers who need an attitude adjustment.
Indeed. That’s why the left is so bent on forcing these issues on our society. Social liberalism always results in more statism/socialism in order to pay for the consequences of the social liberalism.
Yes, let not stand for anything. We are the party of borg.
Indeed.
“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” Mark 8:36
“It’s for the children,” they said, as they wiped their behinds with the United States Constitution soaked in the dead embryos of several generations.
I fail to see why we would need a 2nd Democratic party in this nation.
We can accept many of their views, why can’t they accept ours?
How about, not just the free flow of dope but free dope. Why should anyone have to pay to stay stoned all the time. We could kill two birds with one stone, we could decriminalize drugs by letting the government distribute them and thus getting it out of the hands of the criminals and at the same time we could keep all those young people happy. Maybe we could pas out GOP brand dope at the polls.
CPAC is pushing amnesty, says we gotta do more for those poor invaders to get them on our side, and now you gotta be for Gay marriage and abortion. The only conservative ideal they are not attacking is the 2nd amendment...but there’s always next year. This year they’ll get amnesty and save that one for you next time.
Are you figuring out yet that the powers that be of CPAC AND the GOP are NOT conservative??????
Yet, some around here have their panties in a big ol’ twist over any criticism of the GOP/CPAC going over to the dark side and want to go with them.
There’s still a few real conservatives to buck the establishment for the rest of us.

“Indeed, conservatives should de-emphasize same-sex marriage and abortion. And while were at it, we might as well de-emphasize the Second Amendment, right to work, Islamic terrorism, racial quotas, illegal immigration, deficit spending, voter fraud, etc.”
That looks like the plan! CPAC organizers like Grover Norquist have already given in to illegal immigration, Islamic terrorism.
Grover’s on the NRA board, the pres. of NRA used to run CPAC..., how far behind can the rest of it be?
So we should do what democrats do and elect people who are morally and spiritually corrupt so republicans can win? The same republicans who are telling us to start accepting things we KNOW is wrong so THEY can win. Are they really fighting to stop abortion, homosexual marriage (I won't continue to go along with them changing the word “gay” that was mean to be positive, for something that is evil) and other things we are against? Why should we reward bad behavior? They are acting just like democrats; putting their desire for power and money ahead of what is right. Why should we stand with them; because the other side is worse? They both look pretty bad to me. Maybe God is punishing us with Obama and his followers because we are acting like democrat voters and worrying about winning and not doing His will.
The last and most important question I have for you is this. Are you a Christian and do you think you should obey God or man?

I use to think like you; that if we win, republicans will work to change the evil laws that have been enacted. They know they must do something, but where do they fight the hardest? Taxes. Where do they fight the least? Overturning evil laws. They speak the speak, but don’t walk the walk.
Do you not understand the difference between making the best possible selection in a primary and also the best possible selection in a general election.
Free Republic has become poison to the conservative cause as to many here actually desire the election of Democrats. Many here on Free Republic even stated that Obama is preferable to Romney. I consider the statement so absurd I question the IQ of those making such stupid statements.
Back to Steve King. Did you hear his speech? You obviously don't have a clue how the legislative process works. Your mind, too, has been poisoned by the wackos here on FR. Do you really believe it is more moral to elect Democrats than any Republican?
How dare you question my Christian credentials. I worked in the Iowa House of Representatives for 16 years with 8 of those years as a clerk for the Chairman of the Human Resources Commitee, who had the passion in his heart to save the life of every unborn baby as possible. I shared his passion.
To give you a perfect example of my position that we must elect every Republican possible to office, it was during one of the elections, I had a very high profile social conservative tell me that he didn't know if he could bring himself to vote for his representative who was a liberal, pro-abortion Republican. I looked at him and told him if he wanted to keep my boss in his position as a chairman of a committee, he MUST go in the booth and vote for his rep. I understood him not wanting to do that, she was a pain in the rear in the legislature BUT we still needed her to help create the majority. This fight is all about majorities--no majority, and the Dims are in control.
Too many here on FR either do not understand the necessity of majorities, or they have such low intelligence it's just fine with them if Democrats are in control--forever.
Another poster this afternoon said they want so much to get rid of McConnell, they'd prefer a Democrat be elected. I find this statement reprehensible and beyond stupid. I've tried to get this radical element here on FR to realize the destruction being done by this attitude but I see the mob mentality at work and it's permeating FR.
Then help Democrats if that makes you feel better.
“Maybe that is why we ARE losing; because of our compromising. “
Bears repeating!
“Did you just see Congressman Steve King’s speech? There was nothing wimpified about his speech. CPAC invited him to speak and anyone who knows SK knows what he’s going to say.”
A friend just sent me this article....mentions Steve King at CPAC...GUESS who introduced the people Conservativegrgranny has been pissing and moaning about being liars (along with me)....STEVE KING!
Guess ya didn’t know him so well, afterall, granny.
“Though, for the most part, the fringiest conservatives were shut out of CPAC this year, one unofficial panel hosted by Breitbart.com did not disappoint, bringing out The Uninvited anti-Islam activists for a panel on national security. Speaking to a packed room, Pamela Geller, Frank Gaffney, and former Attorney General Michael Mukasey, talked of the Muslim Brotherhoods infiltration of America, and, more imminently, of the CPAC conference.
Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, who introduced the panel on Saturday and called the speakers the world experts on global jihad, bemoaned that the FBI has scrubbed out derogatory references to Islam or Muslims because their Muslim advisers told them they had to. He also couldnt pass up the opportunity to talk illegal immigrants, who he called undocumented Democrats.
Robert Spencer, the blogger for Jihad Watch, got a standing ovation for tying both Grover Norquist, who is married to a Muslim woman, and ex-Bush staffer and CPAC board member Suhail Khan, who is Muslim, to the Muslim Brotherhood. What I do know is that theyre completely in bed with the same people Barack Obama is listening to to draft the entire foreign policy of the United States and domestic policy as well.
Spencer added that Norquist is the one who made it so that Pamela Geller and I are on this panel called The Uninvited. She also took a shot at Khan: Suhail Khan is worse than Anwar al Awaki because look whats hes done to this conference.
Frank Gaffney, who was banned from the conference several years ago, said that Khan was recruited to the Muslim Brotherhood when in college. He is a prince of the Muslim Brotherhood.
After the panel, Robert Spencer told Salon that Islamophobia is a concept manufactured by the Muslim Brotherhood in order to intimidate people into being afraid to resist Islamic supremacism.

I asked if you were a Christian and if you think we should obey God or man? This was the one question that I wanted you to think about. It was not meant to offend you. I also did not know your were so important and beyond reproach. There are many people who call themselves “Christian” but voted for obama and thought they were doing God's will. Don't jump to the conclusion that I think you are like obama voters. I just think conservatives don't jump when the gop says jump like the democrats do. Many people here at FR believe obeying God is more important than politics. Nations have come under judgment when they put other things above God. I appreciate your work for the unborn. I understand your passion as I worked as a counselor at a Crisis Pregnancy Center. Doing God's work is what we should do. But I must also vote for people who walk the walk and prove they are socially conservative; not just say it. Unfortunately, I gave into the pressure and voted for romney after I knew of his cheating, lying and stealing of votes. I can't help but wonder if I was telling God, I can't trust You, so I must vote for someone I would not let watch my dog. I won't do that again, no matter what anyone calls me, including wacko, stupid, having low intelligence, not understanding the process.....We do understand better than most how the system works. But the price is too high when we're asked to vote for someone who is morally corrupt. If the gop pushes another rino, they will lose worse than romney.

How is support for a futile and criminal-enriching war on "dope" a conservative principle?
No less conservative than turning our society into the second coming of Amsterdam, which is the goal of some proponents.
