How is support for a futile and criminal-enriching war on "dope" a conservative principle? No less conservative than
So is it conservative or not?
turning our society into the second coming of Amsterdam
What's wrong with Amsterdam? "Available data on last year and last month prevalence do not indicate a causal relationship between decriminalization and cannabis use in the Netherlands." (https://www.tlupress.com/files/arts/9117/Semind04285ff846b9e4048da727e6231a4d5.pdf)

I’m not going to argue the point any further... apathy is setting in. People want to fry their brains on that crap, fine with me.

People want to fry their brains on that crap, fine with me. If you favor laws banning drugs, then it's not "fine with you." Do you favor such laws?

If not laws banning illicit drugs, at least barring those under a certain age.
Are you for the free flow of everything to everyone?

If not laws banning illicit drugs, at least barring those under a certain age. Of course - just as is done now with the addictive mind-altering drug alcohol, and as Colorado and Washington are doing with marijuana.
Do you support legality for adults?

Do you support legality for adults? Are we talking about pot or any illegal drug?

Pot. Legalization of any other drug is not on the political horizon - and taking it one step at a time is the prudent course in any case.

Charles Murray prevailed upon social conservatives within the Republican Party to de-emphasize their opposition to issues like abortion and same-sex marriage in an effort to attract younger voters. Odd. I somehow managed to miss my 'conversion'.

Well.. if it’s really that critical for people to have their daily joint and simply can’t live without it.. and are willing to be banned from certain specialties because of the use of it... no problem with me.

Well.. if its really that critical for people to have their daily joint What's critical is to stop hyperinflating marijuana profits and channeling those profits into criminal hands.
and simply cant live without it.. and are willing to be banned from certain specialties because of the use of it...
What specialties, and banned by what body?
no problem with me.
We may be getting somewhere.

Specialties include anything related to flying aircraft, the medical profession, etc. You also would not attain a security clearance. Plus, many other employers simply won’t hire drug users.
To name a few.

Plus, many other employers simply wont hire drug users.
I hear some won't employ tobacco smokers. It's up to them.

Problem is she’ll be like every other shill and come back like nothing ever happened.

Even though I have a very strenuous disagreement with you, and have for quite some time, about what we must do to save this country, I for one am sorry to see you go. After all, it was you that first introduced me to FreeRepublic a decade and a half ago.
I don’t think you’re a bad person. I think you sincerely want what is best for this country and for our posterity. I simply think you haven’t thought things all the way through.
I continue to pray for you and yours.

Problem is shell be like every other shill and come back like nothing ever happened. I seriously doubt that. I've known her for almost twenty years, and that's not her style at all.
