Iran says if it’s attacked by Israel, it will annihilate Tel Aviv and Haifa.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who has final say on all key decisions in Iran, says Israel is too small to be called an enemy, and that the United States is the “center of animosity” toward the Islamic republic. …

If he had the power, wouldn't he level the city before making the vow?

They can certainly try.

Of course, Iran doesn’t have anything that can be leveled, right?

I guess Israel will have to put Saudi markings on their planes. ;-)

I don’t understand countries like Iran and N. Korea and their threats.

What is the purpose of the threats.
Both are under sanctions. N. Korea is starving, They are not super powers or even close. If either uses Nuclear weapons to carry out a threat they will be immediately destroyed.
Why didn’t Iran build a refinery instead of a Nuclear complex. Why dosn’t N. Korea feed their people instead of building a Nuclear arsenal. Neither of these countries is threatened by anyone.

For years we have been hearing about Ahmadinejhad’s enemies running him out of town and they haven’t done squat.

These people seem to contemplate suicide for themselves and their countries.

If you understand the spirit power driving them, then you can easily understand their motives.

The leadership in Iran genuinely believes that they need to start a nuclear war in order to induce the Mahdi’s return, who will supernaturally save the Muslims (and/or facilitate the faithful’s ascent to Jannah), for example.

I welcome the opportunity to see Israel turn Iran into the parking lot it so desperately needs to become.

They keep screwing around and the Mahdi is going to return in the form of a Nuclear fireball that takes them with him all right.

Wearies me that we have not done it. The USA is, after all, the Great Satan in their eyes.

All of Teheran would be a good start

...facilitate the faithful’s ascent to Jannah), for example.

The ultimate irony will be that Israel will be the agent, rather than the mahdi, for these sandmaggots' ascent to Jannah... or to that other place.

Because the regimes in Iran and N. Korea are waging (covert) war against their own populaces, and need (trumped-up) external enemies to distract and mislead their own people and prevent them from rising up against them.

FTR, the Islamic “other place” is called Jahannam, which is derived from Greek “Gehenna” (Jerusalem’s Valley of Hinnom), the word translated “hell” when referring to the lake of fire in the Gospels.
