Now the local station (KTRH) is reporting on Rush’s ‘dis’ of the dearly departed Houston Oilers. And playing part of the song, of course!

Interestingly enough, the Miami Dolphins also use that same tune. Heard it when I lived in FL.

The Oilers ripped it off from the Dolphins, and the first time they used it was on a Monday Night game against the Dolphins, when Earl Campbell went nuts.

I let my old Oiler and Dolphin friends fight it out while wondering “why?”.

I would have had to go anyway, as I couldn’t get thru on his land line or cell, and was worried something might have happened. Turns out, it was the portable unit (Verizon) battery was low and was out of the charger, on his office desk for 2 days. Once back in place, all land line service was restored. Cell (AT&T) was another matter and I changed the battery in it, and it’s on-charge now.

Rush’s pop-carp BS can be fixed right here with my keyboard’s *mute* button. Heh.
