Brunswick, Georgia (CNN) -- Two teenagers were arrested Friday in the shooting death of a 13-month-old boy who was in his stroller, according to police in Brunswick, Georgia.

The suspects are a 17-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy, Police Chief Tobe Green told reporters Friday. He said they are being held on suspicion of first-degree murder.

Green identified the older suspect as Demarquis Elkins, saying he will be treated as an adult in criminal proceedings. The 14-year-old was not identified because of his age.

"We are turning every stone to get a motive," said Green. A weapon has not been found.

Police offered a $10,000 reward for information and have received more than 30 leads.

Sherry West earlier told reporters that the incident occurred at 9 a.m. Thursday as she was walking home from the post office, pushing her son Antonio in a stroller. She said she saw two boys.

"A boy approached me and told me he wanted my money, and I told him I didn't have any money," she said. "And he said, 'Give me your money or I'm going to kill you and I'm going to shoot your baby and kill your baby,' and I said, "I don't have any money and don't kill my baby." The boy tried to grab her purse and opened fire when she said tried to tell him she had no money, West said, grazing her head. She said the boy then shot her in the leg.

She continued, "And then, all of a sudden, he walked over and he shot my baby in the face."

Good! They got the a$$holes! Try them both as adults. They cannot be rehabilitated,, however life sentences and lobotomies should neutralize them.

Very happy they got them, if found guilty at least the 17 year old should be executed. Thanks for posting.

The city's website describes Brunswick, with a population of about 15,000, as "one of the most unique, historic and visually stunning places in the world." It boasts 19th century Victorian-style homes, century-old oaks and magnolia tree-lined streets.

All very true. This happened about 20 miles south of me. I've been in that neighborhood and attended social gatherings in those Victorian houses.

But a few blocks away is MLK Blvd. That street and parallel streets such as Norwich go through a seedy neighborhood. The Glynn County Police uses black cops to patrol that area, and I've watched them pull over black kids in their cars. The police keep a lid on that neighborhood.

If you check the police blotter for Brunswick, you'll see that most of the crime is black folks stealing from each other. Burglary is the predominate crime. If you drive down MLK, you'll see a lot of idle blacks loitering around the liquor stores. At night the standard violent crimes will be two black women going at each other because they're both boning the same guy. Prostitution arrests are common in that area at night.

This is a major departure from the way things usually go in Brunswick.

14 and 17........ Kill them both now and save law abiding citizens from their lives of crime between incarcerations.

Hollywood and/or the music industry put this into their heads.

These bold, decisive acts of action like this or like double tapping, which TV introduced to the public in the 1980s? and that criminals suddenly adopted for a long period of time, are picked up from watching things mostly, they see it and absorb it and incorporate it into their acting out in real life, their lives of being criminal action figures, living the life, taking on the world, taking charge, being the tough guy.

When one action figure first tore out the page of a public phone book in a movie, rather than copy down the number, some of us groaned because it was a powerful visual and sure enough, phone books all over came up missing pages as the gesture was adopted.

Public Square Hanging. Grab a chair from the school and force the entire school to attend. Attach a rope through a pulley and tie it to a horse. Shoot the bastards in the nuts right next to the horse. Take bets on the seconds the twitching stops.

Order school kids back to class for a “pop” quiz.

“We are turning every stone to get a motive”

That will be a tough investigation, they said “give me your money”.

Bet they both look just like bozo’s son.

I wonder if Benjamin Crump will come up to Georgia from Florida to represent the families of these two falsely accused innocents? Particularly since they could be Obama’s sons, if he had sons, and more particularly since it appears that the likelihood of a pay-off from the Trayvon Martin case is dwindling.

So they still don't have a motive according to the police???

The word on the street is that Demarquis used his dime to call Benjamin Crump and is claiming that little Antonio was looking at him suspiciously as if he had a hoodie on and had a bag of Skittles and sumpin.

And he was trying to get out of his stroller.
