Indeed they are.

The fact that this is happening in Texas should enlighten us all about the state of our public schools.

And indeed it does. Something like this would be expected in say CA...but in TX? I would say that is pretty clear evidence just how wide-spread this problem really is.

I’m a good friend of Kara Sands. She’s done an excellent leading the fight against the CSCOPE social studies propaganda curriculum.

Please, the next time you see her tell her there are Americans all over this country who thank her for her courageous efforts.

I’m hearing more and more crap like this coming out of the Lone Star state. A damn shame. Taking TX off of the potential retirement spots list.

Like any place, it has zones of liberal and conservative thinking. And 3.7 million people on medicaid.

Taking TX off of the potential retirement spots list.

That happened for me a log time ago.

Our Legislator’s here in Texas are in session and I understand that CSCOPE will be brought to the floor. I don’t know if there is a bill to get rid of it or what they have in mind but I do know a large group of parents met in Austin to demand that something be done about the situation.

I saw CSCOPE mentioned twice today on Facebook, both posts within an hour of each other. It’s getting some traction now.

I had never even heard of it before yesterday ... probably due to living in conservative Collin County, Texas. This abomination hasn’t hit our schools yet. Hopefully it never will.

********************************

In the last ten years or so, Texas has seen an increase in residents seeking employment and warm weather, as well as many who fled Katrina, along with a rapidly growing number of illegals. Much of this immigration has to have put a strain on the state's unique culture.

Add to that a growing determination by the public schools to effect a political influence on our country's children, and we can see that even Texas is not completely immune.
