Worth trying, but (way) better would be a GOP effort to find and retain good conservative women as well.
The GOP is far, far out of touch with quite a lot of moderate women.

I am infuriated over the idea that the right has to try to woo such-and-such group because of the results of the November election.
We don’t need to embrace immorality or lawlessness in order to bring others to our side,
We just need one simple person who can effectively alliterate conservative values and the rest will fall into place. Because the values and ideals of conservatism win every time. I am praying for someone who can fulfill that position “for such a time as this”.

The GOP seeking black votes is like the US Secretary of State seeking Middle East peace. They keep chasing a fantasy that anyone with an IQ above room temprature could tell them will never happen.
That said, I think the GOP should be able to make inroads with Asian voters, who fall at the opposite end of the maker --- taker spectrum.
I don’t see Republicans winning the Black vote any time soon, but 1) overtures to the African-American community may help Republicans with swing voters, and 2) the Black turnout for the Democrats is bound to go down next time, particularly if (as expected) their nominee is White.
