Have these idiots ever seen what a B-52 and some A-10’s can do in thirty minutes?

Maybe; but they have a better idea what Obowelmy will do.

>>>Right to Possess Firearms
In Mexico, the right to private gun ownership is guaranteed by law

Prohibited Firearms and Ammunition
In Mexico, civilians are not allowed to possess military grade firearms intended for Army, Navy and Air Force use, including: .357 Magnum revolvers and those greater than .38 calibre, handguns greater than 9mm, rifles and carbines of .223, 7mm, 7.62 and .30 calibres, automatic firearms, or shotguns with barrels shorter than 635mm or greater than 12 gauge<<<

So, 5.45 AK and 9mm semi-auto pistols are legal?

That would really be a neat trick...

Funny how not a single Arizona target was enumerated...

I read to mean 9 mm pistol is legal.

5.56 is .223 so it is not legal.

“Just imagine us marching to the state capital and arresting the governor for refusing to nullify Obamacare.”

Just imagine several million “finally so pissed off we’re DONE” Americans jamming Washington D.C. and arresting the _resident and every last one of his D.C. Drones for refusing to uphold The Constitution, and other high crimes and misdemeanors.

Yeah. I know, but...a man can dream...

That’s standard military ops though. Overseas if we set up a road block and someone runs it, they get lit up. Means they’re guilty. In this case maybe they were scared, and probably rightfully so, but in this case, there was no right side. The tourists would of had no idea they just wanted to see where they were going and check for weapons.

This is a reminder as to why a person needs to be situationally aware at all times. Also, perhaps avoid traveling to unstable countries or regions.

****”They were lucky to come out of it with their lives.”*****

They would have been just as lucky had they stopped ... been there done that .... my adventure ended with a couple of loose teeth and some stitches (and no wallet) I was lucky to be allowed to drive away.

“I was lucky to be allowed to drive away.”

Were you stopped by these vigilantes, or just thugs?

Anther Mexican revolution... who to support?

I admire an armed citizenry, but I know nothing of the situation.

“The militia shot some tourists for not stopping at a roadblock. Not good.”

I tend to take that with a grain of salt. If a tourist is going to run a checkpoint of armed gunmen not only does the “tourist” have balls of steal hes got to have something worth risking his life in that car, and I don’t think its legal.

Honestly such a story sounds like a corrupt government sympathetic plant.

It's quite admirable to admit you know little of the specifics of the situation, particularly for those who've not lived there and don't speak the language. And, of course, foreign press accounts are suspect...as are our own. No matter.

We can admire those Mexicans or others who stand on their principles, and hope that they can adhere to them as we hope we would in their place. And now that we know of these events there, we can watch and see how it develops.

Unless, of course, it's ruthlessly crushed and a massacre results. We should watch for that, there and here, as well.

Davis-Monthan and Luke Air Force Bases are right nearby in Arizona. But I don't think we'll be running CAS strikes south of the border.

This is more about citizens rising up against corrupt government than it is vigilantism

Just so. But and the Acapulco area is very high profile. So there will be attempts to portray this as a terrible thing for Mexico.

And, if most Americans do not recall the Mexican people- and the Roman Catholic church do.

“We have Nicaragua, soon we will have El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, and Mexico. One day, tomorrow or five years or fifteen years from now, we’re going to take 5 to 10 million Mexicans and they are going into Dallas, into El Paso, into Houston, into New Mexico, into San Diego, and each one will have embedded in his mind the idea of killing ten Americans.” - Thomas Borge

That’s an important quote.

I’m thinking that might not be anywhere as easy as that gentleman assumes.

I don't reckon he plans on being in the first wave.
