I thought their oath was:

I don’t see anything about obedience to the DHS there.
Unbelievable how fast this infection is spreading.

This whole poop flinging contest is over the way DHS/CBP management have dealt with the sequester. BP in general has some pretty poor management, but this time they are using the sequester to get the agents union to switch onto a different and cheaper overtime program. With the sequester cuts they are taking a 25% cut without including the furlough days. Still not sure, but this may be a way to try to force the BP union to accept a different type of overtime that is cheaper for the agency, but is harder to take away.

While standing in a checkout line yesterday, I had a discussion with a DHS agent in uniform. She said she appreciated the job because it gave her flexibility in working hours in order to care for her new-borne baby. She also said that they are getting very hostile feedback from Americans, and that’s scaring everyone in DHS.

Hey bump this up. I just saw a Navy comercial where the guy says “I will uphold the Constitution, I will OBEY the orders of those appointed above me” and that is NOT right. What I used to teach when I was a JAG was that they had to obey LAWFUL orders, that each of them had a duty to understand what was ordered, request clarification if in doubt and refuse the order if it was not lawful.
