Rush Limbaugh on gay marriage: “This issue is lost” [ What othre issue does Rush concede ?]

Rush claims the battle was lost when conservatives started modifying the word “marriage” (“traditional marriage,” “straight marriage”) to describe the institution rather than insisting that the word itself necessarily refers to traditional/straight relationships and therefore doesn’t require modification.

How would you have enforced that message discipline against the left, though? Their 40 percent of the country would have been calling it “gay marriage” no matter what.

He's exactly right - I never understood where or why people came up with the term "traditional marriage" - just as absurd as "gay marriage."

Is Rush just in it for the cash now?

What does this even mean in this context - makes no sense. What is it that you disagree with as far as what he said? Our side screwed up the debate and essentially helped them win the argument. He's exactly right.

It ain't Rush.
It's Rush's boss.
Rush has a boss, also, that he has to work for, and most bosses don't always agree with your values.
Julie Talbott may be the reason "why" Rush doesn't say he's against homosexual marriage.

I think when he hired Elton John for his wedding that should have told us, how we would be on this issue.

Rush has not only said so, he has said so repeatedly and spent considerable amounts of time of his show dedicated as such.

Your boss issues orders and you obey, or suffer the consequences.

I am so angry at people on radio and TV telling me to accept this behavior as a given. Like I have figured out some time ago, Rush is about the money and is turning his convictions into some luke watered down we must accept it. Though, his Christian base may want to wise up. Seriously. You guys made him what he is..Don’t take this.

He has spent an incredible amount of time to this issue. What is the deal with you people falsely claiming otherwise?

Rush is reporting the news. No jackass should doubt that the communists Democrats have already finished the issue. The same will happen to the gun issue. We have no power and will not be able to stop anything unless 2014 Senate goes Republican, kick the likes of McCain out, and keep the house. Even then we will have to take power away from the communists black King Obama and his empire of communists criminals.

Rush has a boss that is a homosexual.
That's all I know.
I'll still listen to Rush, even if his boss won't let him speak against homosexuallity.
Other than that, we know what God says through the Bible.

Those who support homosexuals are against our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ.
These anti Christ people only bring destruction on us ALL.
I have NO sympathy for homosexuals!

Homosexuality is a "Mark" of disobedience.
Someone once asked The answer is in the definition of "REPROBATE". And the reason"why" is given in the Bible.

God has a cure for homosexuals.

The other is: any question that our elections process is filled with fraud. RUSH said he “doesn’t want to go there”, when ever election fraud is brought up.

No he doesn't either. Here's just a couple recent examples: http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2013/02/05/democrats_move_to_make_voter_fraud_easier http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2012/09/07/democrats_count_on_voter_fraud

I guess Rush is just a lefty now /s. O’reilly, he sucks. But Rush is still the most important conservative voice.

Ignore Rush and O’Reilly. They have taken conservatives for a ride and have made tens of millions of bucks on the way. Forget them.

furthermore, who the hell is Rush to lecture us on marriage, he alone has done more to make a joke of marriage by not staying married. He took the easy way out - multiple times!

Well..going on and on and on about this as a given is not an inspirational motive for the opposition to defend traditional marriage. He could come out on the side traditional marriage versus the understanding it's a given. What a message. He seems to have given up himself. He said his friends were concerned more about their money/economy than a gay agenda. Hello. Not good. That spoke volumes to me. His base should be furious if they are credible and I do think they are. So, I stand by my thoughts.

Rush addressed this specifically. He did NOT conceded this. In fact, he berated those who did EXACTLY what you just posted, insinuating that THIS is Rush’s position.

He commented on what other conservatives are saying.
