I don’t know what the pic is from but I assume they’re both homos, yes?
1) Homo with a gun, they’re scared of their own shadow, not likely he has a piece.
2) Second guy is leaking blood, I’d sure hate to be the one treating him.

...$3,600,000 severance payment representing 18 months of base salary plus incentive compensation at target, $455,738 partial year incentive compensation payment at target, $26,212 for medical, dental and life insurance, $25,000 for financial counseling services and $80,769 for accrued but unpaid vacation. The amounts shown also include the value of the following perquisites received by Francis: personal use of corporate aircraft, $49,325 and financial counseling services, $14,500.

Looks like the board that hired this guy isn't on the ball either. (Not a good sign for JCP) Maybe next time - if there is a next time - the big bucks will start in the 3rd year. A little incentive goes a long ways...

Do you really look at the spokesperson - and decide to shop at a store based upon the spokesperson?

I don’t. I shop by price and style. If a store has a shirt that fits, pants that fit and a price thats reasonable; I buy. i couldn’t care less who’s name is on the door. JCP has nice dress shirts (I’m a big boy) that fit for $25 and dress pants for $45. Similar dress pants at other stores are closer to $75.

JCP, at least in my area has really trimmed down the inventory. It used to be like walking through a yard sale; now it’s neatly laid out. I walk in, easily find my size, style and the price is what matters.

With smartphones, the internet and apps like Redlaser; people can scan a barcode and quickly shop by price. Walmart may be cheaper; but I have found the clothes to be inferior. Stores like Kohls don’t carry my size; JCP simply meets my needs.

how does one accrue $10,000 a month vacation time?

Chump change. Real talent would have cost the JCP stockholders, they were being cheap. Cost them anyway. Compare to health insurance CEOs:

I read somewhere Hemsley wound up with about $111 million one year, if I remember right. I had to take my shoes off, but my ciphering came out to $11,547 per hr 24/7 365 days a year. I'm broke at a much lower level.

Not sure but most of these brands are from the same company (China), you just pay more at J.C.Pennys. Might wrong here but really - there are no American made items left to be bought.

You’re mistaken about that. Hard to find in most big box retailers, yes. Nonexistent? No.

I still shop there because they have more petite women’s clothes that fit me than any other store. Period. Indeed, I had to sift thru ugly chartreuse and magenta dayglo stuff to find the nice standard conservative stuff they were once known for. But it was there, as recently as last week.

Guess I better get back there in a hurry before the doors are locked.

I really don’t see that WalMart sells the same stuff. Looking for drapes the other day, found very nice, attractive, well-priced stuff at Penney and dreadful krep at WM.

Waste of time. Despite all the facts that Ron Johnson killed the company with his black hoke stupid retail model people here think its because of Ellen and they have their agenda. You’ll never convince them.

“A lot of analysts are expecting them to be taken private.”

*****

Boggles the mind that any public or private venture would want to acquire this road kill. Should be a prime candidate for a Chapter 11 reorg or alternatively a Chapter 7 liquidation.

Would be a much more attractive acquisition target if it shed leases and other liabilities in Chapter 11.

I don’t disagree. They could use the restructuring badly.

Picture is from “Will and Grace”. One of those TV shows that was done IMHO to mainstream the homo culture. Picked because it fit the caption in mind, nothing more.

Must depend on what you buy because I have some clothes to wear around the house that must be 10-15 years old. I have bought more expensive stuff from other places that were not wearable after one year. I found some sites which have wonderful clothes. I can shop at midnight if I want to. I refuse to go to stores to buy Christmas gifts. I used Amazon a lot this past year including buying 2 55” smart tvs. My granddaughter goes to their site and send me the info about what she wants. A whole lot better than trying to guess what she wants or needs. Love websites.

well, i like JCP, Macy's... and my fave is EXPRESS... and i will also find things i like at Kohl's... the Jennifer Lopez line is perfect for me... everything of hers fits me perfectly... no alterations necessary... i also buy items now and then from Target... and i actually dry clean most of my skirts, pants and dresses... even if i bought the item for 15 bucks at Target... i keep my clothes for a long time... but not for 15 years... for one thing, i actually weigh less than i did 15 years ago.... and for another--the styles change--even the classics... so i tend to replace those...

i too do a lot of online shopping and stay away from the malls during holidays...

i buy most of my shoes at DSW... but i am currently really liking Jessica Simpson's line of shoes, and bought a pair of $80 5.5" JS heels for $20 at Macy's last month... and i recently found an online sight that sells her shoes at a good discount... so i will try buying from there next time i see something i really like...

the reason i dry clean my clothes for the most part is it helps them last longer...
