Why Is A Resolution To Investigate Benghazi Languishing In Committee For 3 Months?
Freedom Outpost ^ | Apr. 11, 2013 | Tim Brown

Earlier this week I wrote letting you know that over 700 retired Special Forces signed an open letter to the United States House of Representatives demanding that there be a select committee be formed by Congress to investigate the attack that took place on September 11, 2012 in Benghazi, Libya. Well, here’s something. Representative Frank Wolf (R-VA) put forth a House Resolution to that effect back on January 18, 2013 and do you know where it’s gotten since that time? It’s languishing in committee.

Rep. Wolf introduced H. Res 36, establishing a select committee to investigate and report on the attack on the United States consulate in Benghazi, Libya, and on the same day it was referred to committee. Nothing has been done with it. For nearly three months this resolution has sat silent.

At the time the following names were listed on those submitting the resolution:

Mr. WOLF (for himself, Mr. BARLETTA, Mr. ADERHOLT, Mr. FRANKS of Arizona, Mr. WEBER of Texas, Mr. POSEY, Mr. WITTMAN, Mr. GRIFFIN of Arkansas, Mr. SCHOCK, Mr. MEEHAN, Mr. KING of Iowa, Mr. DUNCAN of South Carolina, Mr. OLSON, Mr. JOHNSON of Ohio, Mr. WILSON of South Carolina, Mr. BROOKS of Alabama, Mr. GERLACH, Mr. BRADY of Texas, Mr. MCKINLEY, Mr. JORDAN, and Mr. FLORES).

According to the resolution, the committee would consist of 19 members as follows:

(1) The chair and ranking member of the Committee on Armed Services (or a designee from among the members of that committee).

(2) The chair and ranking member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs (or a designee from among the members of that committee).

(3) The chair and ranking member of the Committee on Homeland Security (or a designee from among the members of that committee).

(4) The chair and ranking member of the Committee on Intelligence (or a designee from among the members of that committee).

(5) The chair and ranking member of the Committee on the Judiciary (or a designee from among the members of that committee).

(6) The chair and ranking member of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform (or a designee from among the members of that committee).

(7) Five members appointed by the Speaker.

(8) Two members appointed by the Speaker after consultation with the minority leader.

This committee would be given 90 days from their initial meeting to conduct an investigation and issue a report to the House. That report would contain:

(1) any intelligence known to the United States relating to the attack on the United States consulate in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012;

(2) any requests for additional security, or actions taken by Federal agencies to improve security at the consulate before the attack;

(3) a definitive timeline of the attack;

(4) how the relevant agencies and the executive branch responded to the attack and whether appropriate congressional notifications were made;

(5) any improper conduct by officials relating to the attack;

(6) recommendations on what steps Congress and the President should take to prevent future attack; and

(7) any other relevant issues relating to the attack or the response to the attack.

Republicans control the House. Why are they not moving on this? Why is it languishing in committee?

Congressman Wolf’s office spoke with Freedom Outpost today and confirmed that they have 89 co-sponsors, all Republicans, noting that they had 70 on Monday and that they are hopeful to obtain over 100 by the weekend.

Keith Sessions (R-TX) heads the committee the resolution is in. His office has not yet responded to inquiries about why the resolution continues to sit in committee.

Contact your representative and ask them if they have added their names to this list and if they haven’t ask why not. This resolution needs to be brought to the House floor and voted on and this committee established. The truth of what happened and why in Benghazi needs to be exposed.

To what end? Republicans are too afraid of the NYT and the hyphenated names to investigate the rape and murder of a US Diplomat. Winking at the Second Amendment, shutting down combat units, funding for Obamacare, and everything else the GOP constituency finds unacceptable, the GOP has gone right along with. What makes Benghazi any different?

Maybe they’re still waiting for Holder to submit documentation on Fast & Furious? Or maybe Solyndra? Or maybe Lisa Jackson’s E-Mails (Richard Windsor)? Or maybe DHS ammo purchases? Or maybe info. regarding 0bama’s order to Border Patrol to stop apprehending illegal invaders? Blah, blah blah..

Trey Gowdy on Gretta, earlier this week, answered it plainly when asked by Gretta what's the hang up on investigating Benghazi.
He said, "You'll have to ask the Republican leadership that question".
He condemned the Republican leadership on not getting it done.
Definitely fired a shot across Boehner and his lackeys' bow, good, hard hitting interview by Gowdy.

So Hillary can ask "What difference does it make?", over and over.

Disgusting.

My suspect is the same root cause that has the Major Hasan court Martial dragging on— a little talked about usurper called the Muslim Brotherhood—and the Fear our mere politicians have of a people the Democrats can exploit for personal gain.

Why Is A Resolution To Investigate Benghazi Languishing In Committee For 3 Months?

The answer is simple: Obama's Muslim, terrorist, murdering buddies who he helped put into power with his "Arab Spring" initiative attacked the US ambassador in Benghazi, captured him alive, SODOMIZED him and then brutally KILLED him in the name of "allah" their bloody moon god who is none other than Satan himself. All the while OBAMA denied the numerous, urgent request from the people on the ground asking Obama and his minions for HELP.

OBAMA LET THEM DIE! This whole bloody mess is on his (and Hillary Clinton's hands. That is the simple truth and people can cry and beg this godless administration to tell the truth, they can call congress until Hell freezes over but NOTHING will EVER come of it and the truth will never come out because if it did, Obamessiah would be impeached and both he and Hildabeast would be in prison and that my friends is never going to happen because those in power are evil. They know this is the truth but they do nothing because they are either mindless worshipers of Obamessiah or they are AFRAID of what Obamessiah and the head of the INJUSTICE Department Holder will do to them.

Only the POTUS had the authority to act!

0bama was notified immediately and automatically when the Benghazi consulate triggered the "Imminent Danger Notification System" alert. He did nothing.

Judge Jeanine Investigates Benghazi Gate Part 4 - 10/20/2012 video 6:53
Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer (U.S. Army ret.), former CIA Station Chief Gary Berntsen and former CIA operative Mike Baker

They confirm everything Col. Hunt said about automatic notifications to the WH and add more details.

There are three scandals here...

---------------------------------------------------------

Denial of requests for security were a dereliction of duty. The lies and misdirection about the "video" after the attack were fraud and malfeasance under the color of authority. The inaction during the attack was something more than that.

The failure to act during the attack is the direct equivalent of desertion IMO.

ONE man had the authority to act that night.

ONE man deserted his post!

EXCLUSIVE: CIA operators were denied request for help during Benghazi attack, sources say

0bama abandoned his post. 0bama Is A Deserter!

I have to laugh about this, we are living in a dictatorship, all members of congress are involved, our country is heading in to it’s darkest tie in history.

The republican leadership aided democrats in passing the HC bill, Roberts helped make it constitutional, just as he will also support gay marriage, Bonehead is talking about supporting the gun bill in the senate when they send it to him.

ALL OF OUR MEDIA TALKING BOBBLEHEADS WILL NOT SPEAK A WORD ABOUT THE BIRTH CERT ISSUE, AS THEY HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING ORDERS OF THE REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIPutio.

In short folks it’s over, Obama with the help of republicans is building a domestic army equal to the US military, and they are taking our weapons so we will not be able to restore our constitutional republic....

It’s languishing in committee beacuse those people already know the truth, but exposing it would destroy the nation, much like exposing the real reasons for Clinton’s impeachment would have done. The are just waiting for a plausable “blue dress” to move on it.
