Audrie Pott, the 15-year-old California girl who killed herself after photos of her alleged sexual assault appeared online, felt "tortured" by the experience of being betrayed by suspects whom she once considered friends, the family's attorney, Robert Allard, said today.
"We have Audrie's words that reveal just how tortured she was," Allard told ABCNews.com of her online comments.
"Over the week that followed, she was literally tortured by the knowledge that people she thought were her friends were passing around photos of what took place," he said of the allegations.
In the week after the alleged assault last Labor Day at a gathering at a friend's house, a humiliated Pott, according to Allard, posted messages on Facebook, saying, "My life is ruined."
Allard said Pott also posted, "This is the worst thing ever" and "Those guys put 'blank' inside of me," not providing details.
Three 16-year-old boys were arrested Thursday on suspicion of sexual battery in the assault on Pott while she was passed out at a party, according to the Associated Press.
Santa Clara County police have not responded to numerous requests for comment. Authorities have not publicly identified the boys because of their ages.
"Based upon the discussions with the police officers, at least one picture was disseminated extensively," Allard said. "There was enough within that to demonstrate that a sexual assault had occurred between multiple boys."
Let’s hope not, anyone who would support this has a criminality mind, and should be locked up for a very, very loooong time!

I do not if this works yet, but my teenage daughters are approaching adulthood. Our family does not hide from evil as some may suggest. We take it straight on. My children are armed with a deep religious belief in Jesus Christ, Our Lord; and practical experience plus lots of awkward parental discussions.
How long ago would such a crime have just resulted in a lynching?

Not to justify what was done to her, but to put yourself in that situation is stupid. HELLO????? It’s an evil world out there, full of sin, with Satan the ruler of this world.
The Ozzie & Harriet and Leave it to Beaver world is gone. Taking God out of schools and public places, fatherless homes, and the decay of morality, has lead us into the world we now have.
We should expect more such acts not less.
Over the past few years, I have had several friends who are mothers talk of problems their teen/20-something daughters were having socially, and with getting involved in bad relationships. The other evening it hit like a ton of bricks, a doh moment .. each of the mothers is single, whether divorced or having chosen to have a child as a single woman.
It may not be the ‘in’ thing, but having a caring father in the household, and in charge, is the best insurance against horrific things happening to our kids, especially our daughters.
I blame Leftists and Feminists who tell girls that sex is just sex. Most girls believe that a boy who would sleep with them also will care about them. Many in the younger generation have no conscience. Girls need to be taught to value themselves. I feel badly for this girl; she is a victim of political correctness. Heartbroken for her parents.
It’s kind of hard to get worked up about these any more, seems like every other week one of these “boys sexually assault passed out girl” stories hits the news cycle. You’d think someone would learn something from all this coverage but I guess that’s too much to ask of modern youth. Will the boys ever learn that if they assault some passed out chick that they’ll be spending some quality time with Bubba in their own private cell for the next 20 years? Nope, doesn’t look like it and the idiots continue to record their crimes and put it on the internet for all (including the cops) to see, I mean really how dumb can you get?
And the girls continue to ignore reality and think it’s swell to go to an unsupervised party with a bunch of drunk horny teenage boys and think that it’s perfectly safe to get so drunk that they pass out. Amazes me every time this happens, don’t these girls even bother to look at the news? Haven’t their parents at least clued them in? Situations like this kind of remind me of that newswoman that got assaulted by the mob in Egypt, it’s like what were you thinking?
And the parents really didn’t help all that much either, if they knew about what happened then why on earth did they leave her in that school? At least transfer her someplace where she’s not subjected to the shame of having those kind of photos passed around behind (or maybe even in front) of her back. And why weren’t they at least aware of what and where she was going, don’t parents now days at least check up on their kids whereabouts and who they hang with? Stop trying to be their friend and start being an involved parent that sticks their nose into their kids business and randomly shows up at the places that they said they would be.
And the teenage boys that did this, what kind of scum is being raised by our brave new world that seems to consistently produce this kind of results? Why is it that kids seem to think that this is just good clean fun and something to be so proud of that they share it with the world. Are kids so devoid of any sense of right and wrong or morals that they do these horrible things without even thinking? I shudder to think what the future holds for us as a civilization if this is what we’ve raised as we will all be paying the price in the future. They deserve to have that cell with Bubba for 20 years for this.
I don’t have a lot of sympathy for any of the actors in this tragedy though, they all contributed to what happened and they all will pay a very heavy price for it. The girl paid the heaviest price but she also choose to take her own life rather than deal with what life dished out to her and you can’t lay that at anyone feet but hers (I have friends whose wives at even a younger age than this girl were horribly raped and abused by Thai pirates while fleeing communist Vietnam, there’s a lot of shame associated with that but still they chose to go on living, its a choice). She also by taking her life rather than standing up greatly increased the chances that these boys that raped her will now get off scott free as there is no victim to testify against them so now they have a good chance of repeating what they did to her to someone else.
If we use the socialist logic , to prevent such often occurring tragedies, we should ban FaceBook right?

There’s a reason this is considered dangerous - because stuff like this can happen!! Not excusing the rapists’ responsibilty, but at 15, you’re still trusting your parent(s) to make wise decisions for you - and that apparently didn’t happen here.
Didn't a video of this girl's assault go viral on the internet? That would be hard to ivercome, knowing that future employers, mates, could see this girl's debasement. She was young and probably couldn't see past that.
Very true. Sex is a spiritual as well as a physical activity, and the world fails to recognize this, and the consequences of that failure are disastrous.
This also points to the gravity of abortion, since having children is a spiritual act and not merely a biological one.
