Of course. They are “from the government and here to help”.

You must have missed that memo.

The defense of that position is yours to make, not mine.

Perhaps tomorrow you’ll be able to develop a coherent argument as to why an American citizen should be victimized by 3 AM intruders and should have the responsibility of flipping a coin to determine whether the intruders are “From the Government and Here to Help” or Common Criminals.

Storming an innocent man’s home isn’t a “mistake”.

One doesn’t “accidentally” storm a home, any more than one “accidentally” puts the keys in the ignition.

Yes, you have all FAILED!

Here's a chance to shine Ariel. You, Rock Cod, Mr. L. A. Mataz, and halfassed conspiracy can now get together and cobble a "coherent argument" to your scenario. In other words, do something yourself, instead of expecting someone else to do it for you. I'm sure it will be unassailable and a joy for all to read. Please do it this century. Although I think you can't, because you haven't already.

You have already been asked to explain why the homeowner should be forced to determine whether the home invaders are Government Thugs or Common Criminals breaking into his residence at 3 AM.

That is the reality of what many American citizens are facing in this country.

You have failed to do so.

Your failure to do your homework does not obligate any of us to defend that position.

But scream “You failed”, all you wish, if that is what you require to feel like you have “won” and to save face with your fellow government employee buddies.

Why should the homeowner be forced to determine whether the home invaders are Government Thugs or Common Criminals breaking into his residence at 3 AM?

You are ignoring that the homeowner himself might be a common criminal, and the crime for which he is to be arrested may justify an entry at 3 AM by Government Officials. You have already failed. Come up with something else. This was too easy.

You have failed to answer the question, and are attempting to cast blame on the homeowner in an attempt to avoid the question.

So let’s try it again:

Why should Lazamataz, Salamander, Eaker, or any other Freeper have to wonder whether the person intruding on his or her residence is a Government Thug or a Common Criminal?

I’m sure they’re looking forward to hearing your answer.

Haven’t you gotten the memo? Police are misunderstood victims of public opinion.

It’s not their fault when they terrorize some little old lady, wheelchair bound individual, or force small children out of their beds at gunpoint. Clearly they must have done SOMETHING to warrant such a police response.

Odd how we don’t accept the same excuse from rapists, thieves or murderers which the police-worshipers expect us to accept from the police.

What if the homeowner is himself a Common Criminal?

This a confusing morass of posts but from what I have read it appears you are justifying SWAT no-knock raids because someone might be a criminal therefore homeowners have a responsibility to check IDs prior to shooting people breaking into their home?

If that doesn't sum it up accurately please let me know in what way someone else being a criminal should affect my actions when it comes to me defending my home.

The warrant was issued in Franklin County. The prosecutor there said it appears the entire incident was the result of a clerical error.

Yup, twice.

1)The clerical error from office that issued the warrant.

2)The color blind error on the part of the officers (plural) who couldn't tell a white man from a black man.

(talk about a "color-blind society")

"Shooting a truck full of holes that doesn’t remotely fit the description of the one in the A.P.B. isn’t a mistake."

Since you are not referencing a specific incident, and are leaving the question open to interpretation, what if the truck that was accidentally stopped contained wanted violent felons who were intent on killing a police officer?

The truck in LA that had two women in it and the cops thought they were a large black man.

Were you being cutsie or were you really unable to but two and two together?

Your assertion is incorrect. The majority of the police support the rights of the citizens to keep and bear arms. It is the criminals, and the Democrats, who want to disarm the citizens.

Doesn't matter as all of their bosses, Police Chiefs, City Councils and Mayors want the populace disarmed.

The cops will do as they are told. Think Hurricane Katrina. If you don't know what my reference to Hurricane Katrina means let me know and I'll paint you a picture.

"Brown showed WLWT News 5 a copy of an arrest warrant that listed drug and gun charges. It had his name, date or birth and Social Security number on it but listed his address in Columbus. It also identified him as a black male when he is white."

How did Brown's name, DOB, and SSN appear on the warrant? Is someone impersonating him? The wrong address is common because crooks move around, and the Marshalls can't be faulted here.

If who ever is impersonating Brown is white, then a clerical error was made by listing him as black.

There is also the possibility that the other Nicolas Brown IS black, and that no clerical error was made regarding race.

The reason the Marshalls showed up at Brown's house is that they have access to a huge data base and the data base matched him with the address, DOB, and Social Security number on the warrant. Prior to service of the warrant, the Marshall's should have had a photo of their suspect. Can we agree, that they probably didn't? Did the originating agency fail to supply one? Looking at the warrant, and not having a photo but seeing that the rest of the identifying information was correct, they could assume that a clerical error was made, and the error was that it listed him as black instead of white. They put him in "custody" and released him later. "Custody," as you are aware, means being in handcuffs, being placed in a police vehicle, being at the police station or jail, or being in a situation where he was not free to leave.

The article doesn't make it clear if he was booked into jail, detained at home in handcuffs for a while, or taken to another location until they got the correct information.

You are obviously unaware of the fact that a lot of Sheriff's have sent letters to Obama telling him that they oppose gun control. Since you like drawing, I can send you some crayons and you can draw pictures of Sheriff's once you know what they look like.

Prove that it wasn’t a mistake.

Are you for real? A mistake is giving someone a Coke when they wanted a Dr Pepper. Shooting up a vehicle that is nothing like the one you are looking for with two women in it instead of a great big black man isn't a mistake.

It is a HUGE CRIMINAL action.

If it was your wife and if you weren't married to a big black man you would be whistling a different tune.
