The butchery of infants born alive after abortions at the Philadelphia clinic run by Kermit Gosnell is gruesome beyond description, as described in my prior post, A Culture of Death is their choice.
The details are not new. The horrific Grand Jury Report (h/t Dave Weigel) was issued over two years ago.
Yet this mass murder, reportedly of 100 infants although only seven cases were charged, has been met with near silence by the mainstream media.

So, since this guy doesn’t report on homicide trials outside of Detroit, we can look forward to him ignoring any Tragone Martin stories and any mass murderers of school children stories.

You have a point however, I am doubtful that Gosnell’s race isn’t more to the point in this case. Do you think a White abortionist would be protected or vilified.
I think an abortionist of any race would be protected by the overwhelmingly pro-abortion media. This is about "let's make sure there's no bad publicity about abortion because otherwise the pro-life people might have a case for more regulation". That's independent of the race of the perp.
Does this mean Detroiters are unfamiliar with the darling Trayvon Martin?

This guy Gosnell is a modern day Joseph Mengele.
If some pro-lifer had shot Gosnell..would that be national news? I think we all know the answer to that question. He would be deified.

There is a reason people talk about “the media” - meaning, generally, nationwide journalism - as a single entity. The manifestation of that reason is the wall-to-wall coverage of Newton, CT and some aspects of Zimmerman/Martin - and the far more limited coverage of the Gosnell story. The uniformity of the nationwide coverage is easily explained by the fact that journalists are in cahoots with each other. This is not a debatable issue but a matter of fact. The organization by which they coordinate operates openly. It is called, “the Associated Press.” Associated - get it? The national journalism institutions are not independent of each other, they are associated.It has always been the policy of the federal government to promote the dissemination of news; that was true in the first half of the Nineteenth Century, and it is still true today. Newspapers were preferentially mailed among newspaper printers from early in the Republic. But Adam Smith warned in 1776 about collusion:
People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices. - Wealth of Nations (Book I, Ch 10). . . and what is the Associated Press newswire, if not a cyberspace meeting of all major journalism institutions - one which has essentially been in continuous session since before the Civil War? It is only to be expected that after more than a century and a half of such a “meeting,” “conspiracy against the public” should be routine. And it is likewise inevitable that a conspiracy against the public by journalists should propagandize in favor of the “objectivity” and indispensability of journalism in general and the AP in particular. And that such propaganda should denigrate the virtues of those who do things in order to elevate those who merely criticize. And that telling only the convenient portion of the truth should be a standard propaganda technique.The AP does its deeds in the open - everyone knows that they have ruled out “illegal alien” as nomenclature, for the obvious purpose of denigrating American citizenship. What could be more obvious than that that is "a conspiracy against the public?"
