I suspect that with near 8% unemployment, lots of old guys are sitting around at 6:30 AM waiting for Walmart or Academy to open, to snap up ammo that they turn around and sell for a profit on GunBroker.com

The carbines are in the $300 range MSRP. However, they were in short supply before the panic. There are people selling them used for $500 on some sites.

I absolutely love my 995TS. It is a fun gun to shoot!

It is a great little carbine, or it was.
Cheap, simple, dependable.

The highlight of my week was stopping in at my local Walmart at 7:00 AM on Friday morning.

They had two lonely boxes of 9mm Tula steel case. Got em for a little less than $11 per box.

Pathetic.

Not a bad price. That Tula 9mm works OK for practice.

I woulda grabbed it.

I can’t run steel case in my pistols but the carbine will eat it just fine.

Haven’t seen any 9mm or 40S&W for a long time.

Is Sellier & Bellot any good? I saw some 45GAP for sale.

It works fine in my 9mm pistols.
I had FTE in the CZ 75.
I ran a 45 cal brass bore brush dipped in Hoppes #9 up there on the end of a drill motor..

Voila! It eats that stuff like peanuts now.

Believe me, they’re trying to get this gun law crapola passed as quickly as possible, hoping things settle down before the mid-terms.

Sellier & Bellot is fine.
They have been making ammo for over 100 years.

To clarify, I used a brass 45 brush in a 40 cal chamber, not 9mm

I stopped all shooting a month or two ago. Can’t replace any ammo used on the range.

Depending on caliber, I’m down to 400 to 600 rounds for each gun and I don’t want to dip below that level.

It sucks.

I did that with my Mosin. Ran a 20 gauge shotgun brass brush in the chamber. Works great for getting cosmoline or laquer build-up out of it.

My advice to everyone right now would be to try and help the NY State Rifle & Pistol Association fight the S.A.F.E. act, if you can possibly spare a few dollars. If it can be overturned, it might provide some precedence for future legal challenges.

Exactly.
Brass wont hurt the bore.
It will mildly polish it.

It would be a good buy if I owned a M-134 minigun, which I don't. 1-in-5 tracer mix would be pretty. Also pretty hard to find a safe place to shoot that, except on the National Guard range.

For the millionaires with miniguns, that would probably be good for a weekend's shooting, as long as you 5x that amount in ball. :)
