Suspect Identified in Boston Marathon Blasts
EXCERPT:
By EVAN PEREZ, DEVLIN BARRETT and ANDREW GROSSMAN
BOSTONA suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings has been identified and will be arrested, a law-enforcement official briefed on the investigation told the Associated Press.
The official said the suspect is to be taken into custody by federal marshals and taken to a Boston courthouse, the AP said. The Wall Street Journal couldn’t immediately verify the report independently.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation had isolated images of what it believed to be a suspect in the bombings, according to a government official.
Surveillance video and other images helped FBI agents identify a suspicious person right around the moment one of the bags believed to contain a bomb was deposited near the finish line of the race, the official said.

The person could just as easily be a member of La Raza as Al Qaeda.
for cryin’ out loud tell us already media!!!
CBS just said that no one has been arrested yet, but apparently he has been identified by the ping logs from his cell phone that he used to set off the bomb.
A common technique is to detonate one bomb, then wait for first responders and then detonate a second bomb.
Well, if THAT isn’t suspicious...
I’d forgotten about that curious bit of information.
I suspect they could also be behind the bomb that was mailed to Joe Arpaio last week.
Worst successful attack. Fruit of the boom panty bomber tried to down a plane on Christmas day over a city.
Nadil Hasan succeeded in killing more people and wounding dozens.
But the media tried to say this is the first terrorist attack since Obama took office. That meme isn't going to get legs.
Does anyone here think a little border security might not be a bad idea?
If they made him from the photos, he’s a known bad guy.
I’m frankly shocked he is still in the country. I would have expected he’d hightail it to the border, hop a flight from Montreal to Oman or someplace and just disappear.
Yep, the inter-web can be misleading...
You can drop photos into google and image search for photos.
It seems that face recognition software is coming to social media sites.
You’ll just able to drag and drop to find similar faces identified.
Actually, IIRC, I heard it from a teevee noozcast. I forget which channel now...
