About this insane chain immigration—I have been thinking about this the past few days. The immigration pushers keep telling us that we need more, more, more immigration. They tell us that there are people waiting for decades to immigrate and this is so unfair to all of the people who want to come into this country. Here is the question—how many people actually do want to come into the country? Is it in the millions, tens of millions, hundreds of millions or billions?

There are 7 billion people on the planet, likely billions of people would like to come to the United States, would it be possible or even desireable to bring in ALL of the people who would like to come here? If we dedicated all of our resources to immigration only, it would still not be possible to accomadate all of the people who would like to immigrate. If we used every plane and ship traveling back and forth transporting all of the immigrants we still would not be capable of accomadating of of these people.

THE TRUTH IS THAT THE MORE IMMIGRANTS ARE ALLOWED INTO THE COUNTRY—THE LONGER THE WAITING TIME FOR OTHER IMMIGRANTS. Every immigrant has family who wants to follow him, and friends as well. Each of those family members have other family members and friends. It is called chain migration because it never ends.

During a discussion of human rights and keeping people from emigrating/escaping. Richard Nixon was told by Chou En Lai that there were 200 million Chinese that he could send to the USA and asked when would the USA be ready to receive them.

Canada has a point system that works well.

We had a system whereby employers could lobby for workers. For example, Ford brought workers from Lithuania in the 1920s.

In 1965 arch liberal Teddy Kennedy ‘reformed’ our INS to bring in people and their families and once those families came, all of the other relatives could be attached as being eligible by virtue of relation.

The Mexican groups have picked up on this because it means you don’t get in to America by merit or need, you get here by family connections and they understand that very well because that is how their society is structured, family connections, nepotism.

So we end up having an enormous load of immigrants from the south for no good purpose and when they learn how loose the social safety nets are for EBT. healthcare, housing and so on, they send money home to pay coyotes to bring other family members to come illegally.

This is the chain immigration that Rubio and Rand want to stop.

Rubio is a member of the ‘Gang of 8’; shame on him. His heart is in the right place but his timing is way off. He needs to back off and help Sarah Palin elect more Tea Party approved candidates to the Senate.

Rand is not a member of the ‘Gang or 8’ but has in the past voiced his support for immigration overhaul. Just recently he said the reform effort needs to be slowed down in light of Boston. It needs to be slowed down until 2014 elections and possibly longer depending on the makeup of the Senate.

Boston was an unwanted but needed gift of a wake up call to Americans regarding a number of issues.

All Republican Senators who have been working on the Immigration Reform Bill are playing with fire. Until we have a conservative senate we cannot trust what these lawmakers will do to our and our children’s future.
