Rubio hit hard after inviting comments on immigration bill (comments at Help Us Improve the Bill)
Washington Examiner ^ | 042813 | Byron York

Senator Marco Rubio, the leading Republican behind the Gang of Eight comprehensive immigration reform proposal, has often challenged those who criticize the bill to come up with ways to improve it. And not just his fellow lawmakers; Rubio has opened a new page on his Senate website asking for help from the public. “Visit our website and submit your ideas to ‘Help Us Improve the Bill,’” says an announcement from Rubio’s office Friday. “Since the immigration legislation was introduced, Rubio has received over 1,100 suggestions for how to improve the bill. Rubio encourages the public to continue reviewing the bill and sharing their ideas on ways to make the bill better when the time comes to amend the legislation.”

“Secure the Borders FIRST, and then we’ll talk” on there?

No that is too easy.

The Bill already has verbiage like “The Secretary shall certify that the border is secure”.

All we will get from that is 100 yards of new fence and a letter from Janet Napolitano saying the border has been secured while illegals are still poring across the border.

I’m beginning to think this Rubio guy is a retard. ALL of the democrat lies are on the record for all to see — every lie Dead Ted told about previous “immigration reform” bills going back to 1965. Every time they reneged on their promises is on record.

And this guy thinks it is going to be different this time?

Yeah. Right.

I’m done with Rubio. I didn’t support him so he could go to Washington and collaborate with Chuckie Schumer, I supported him so he could derail everything Chuckie wants to do.

Rubio has already made up his minds.

All this ‘open conversation’ period is following the footstep of someone famous. We are not there yet, but moving ever closer to that direction.

Adding this:

"The [immigration] bill will not flood our cities with immigrants. It
will not upset the ethnic mix of our society. It will not relax the
standards of admission. It will not cause American workers to lose
   their jobs."
                         - Ted Kennedy, 1965

"This amnesty will give citizenship to only 1.1 to 1.3 million illegal
aliens. We will secure the borders henceforth. We will never again
bring forward another amnesty bill like this."
                         - Ted Kennedy, 1986

"Now it is time for action. 2007 is the year we must fix our broken
   system."
                         - Ted Kennedy, 2007

Why because even if he doesn’t care enough postings and maybe it gets noticed by the media.
I don’t care that he doesn’t care.

Wonder what the real reason they want to pass this? The Republicans thinking they will get guaranteed voters is pure BS and they know it. The Democrats getting voters is also BS and they know it. It’s to destroy America and it’s people. To have slavery of their choice.

The establishment of both parties want to ensure Big Government for the next 100 years. The GOP doesn't mind being in second place in such a system like they were between Hoover and Reagan. As long as they are big enough to get their share of the loot, they're happy. May true Americans be damned.

Secure the borders and enforce our current laws. OUR SYSTEM IS NOT BROKEN AND YOU LIE RUBIO... IT IS NOT FUNCTIONING BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT HAS ALWAYS REFUSED TO ENFORCE OUR IMMIGRATION LAWS... AT LEAST SINCE IKE. THE CURRENT LAWS CAME FROM BILLS AND PAST PROMISES JUST LIKE THE ONE YOU ARE PROMOTING TODAY RUBIO... AND THEY LIED TO US THE PAST 4 TIMES YOUR GOVERNMENT PASSED IMMIGRATION REFORM AND YOU SIR ARE LYING TODAY. ENFORCE THE LAWS OF THIS REPUBLIC... CLOSE AND SEAL OUR BORDERS AND DEPORT ILLEGALS... SAVE THE REPUBLIC OR FACE A BLEAK FUTURE FOR THIS LAND.

How is 90% anything close to border control?

The standard needs to be 9 nines or better before we get comprehensive anything.

FENCES MAKE GOOD NEIGHBORS..

The Great Wall of China is 13,170 miles long...
The border’s total length is 3,169 km (1,969 mi), according to figures given by the International Boundary and Water Commission.

So why can’t it be done?

Rubio hit hard after inviting comments on immigration bill( April 27, 2013 Wash Examiner)

Rubio : On April 17, my colleagues and I introduced immigration legislation. It marked a first step toward achieving the strongest border security and enforcement measures in U.S. history, modernizing our legal immigration system to unleash strong economic growth and job creation, and dealing with our undocumented immigrant population in a tough, but fair way that is directly linked to achieving several security triggers.
While I believe this legislation will accomplish these things, I am also confident that an open and transparent process – one that engages every senator and the American people – will make it even better. I believe this kind of open debate is critical in helping the American people understand what’s in the bill, what it means for you and what it means for our future.
During my time in the Senate, many of you have written to me about your concerns with our immigration system. Today, I want to share this video with you in which I outline what this legislation sets out to do. And most importantly, I want to invite you to share your thoughts and submit your ideas below, on ways we can improve it.

Sounds to me like the fast-talker Rubio doesn’t have as much confidence in this legislation’s effectiveness as he and Pansy Grahamnesty would like us all to believe.
