A 24 year old man, Ali Al-Khawahir,reportedly has been sentenced to being surgically paralyzed in Saudi Arabia.
When he was 14, Al-Khawahir stabbed a friend, who was paralyzed as a result. He’s spent 10 years in prison for the assault according to U.S. News and World Report, but now the victim is seeking “blood money” of about $270,000. If he doesn’t receive it, Al-Khawahir is to be paralyzed.
Al-Khawahir’s family is trying to raise money to make the payment.

Who said that our ‘system’ is the only alternative.

The humble carpenter.
Suffering servant.
Lamb of God.
Unspoken here, is the relative status of the friend he stabbed at 14. Does anybody think that a member of a prominent family would be paralyzed for any offense against one of lesser status?
Such a peaceful religion.

Sure. Entirely possible. Or his “friend” objected to being diddled. Or maybe they were fighting over dibs on diddling the goat? This is Saudi, right?
Only sure thing is they weren’t dealing with a human female in the mix. Otherwise, there would have been acid involved.
