If he had “taken it down and hid it under the seat” - that would have been a knowing act - and would have subjected him to a charge of having a concealed weapon (doubt he would have had a CCW permit). There’s a reason for gun racks that are visible.
The big problem with schools is that they (and a lot of businesses) have decided it is better to not have to use any judgment and be accused of discrimination, instead adopting this silly “no tolerance” position that punishes every “bad act” - whether intentional or not. Doubt any felony charges will stick if a reasonable jury has the opportunity to hear the whole story, but the damage has been done by the school system to the individual.
Karl’s target is misplaced. The schools he needs to blacklist are the ones that gave these idiot teachers and administrators their degrees.
According to Florida law:
“Long Guns – a legal firearm other than a handgun may be anywhere in a private conveyance when such firearm is being carried for a lawful use.”
However, it gets a lot more complex on school grounds.
Absolutely that’s all they accomplished. Reported crime went down - but only for the blacks. LOL The police policy was designed to stop the reporting of black crime.
