Would you support Sarah Palin should she decide to run for the presidency in 2016?

Let's see. How does she compare to my litmus checks:

What's not to like?

Oh, yeah. That thing about not reading newspapers and also seeing Russia from her house. That's just too dumb to be true. /s

Well, but she did resign from her office, so I guess that's one thing not to like. But they all have at least one thing not to like. How does she compare on all the major conservative issues?

And the left absolutely hates her.

And Tokyo Rove and the GOP-e absolutely despises her.

But tea party conservatives like her. A lot!

And so do I.

How about you?

Are you ready to turn this country around with an honest to God pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, God-loving, America-loving patriot and grassroots conservative favorite who we can all be proud of and for whom we will work overtime for a change?

I can support any Conservative Republican or even a Conservative Democrat—but one of those does not exist.

I am not crazy over party, I vote for what is good for my Country, and that lets out any known Democrat.

Like I say sick, lame , lazy, blind ,crippled, or crazy, I can support a Conservative. Be they Black ,Female, Hispanic
or anything else I can support a Conservative.

I WILL NOT support a RINO, I WILL NOT support anyone who votes for Amnesty, Marriage for Queers, Gun Grabbers, or Big Government spenders.

Now lets see what show up.
Right now Sarah tops my list.

Yes!

Another plus for Sarah is that she is NOT Ivy league educated and worked to pay her own way through college.

I would, but she cannot win, imo.

Look at the upside...I voted for Romney...I knew he couldn't win...I didn't even really want him to win...

If Sarah ran and lost, at least I could sleep at night knowing we did our best...

You’d rather have a candidate that the left wouldn’t attack? How about McCain? The left loved him!

Don’t you remember how much both sides hated/attacked Reagan? If you want a conservative you’ve got to be willing to fight for them.

Don’t expect the party to fight for them, YOU and every other conservative has to take off the kid gloves, thow away the Marquis of Queensbury rules and fight!

But is this just a pipe dream? I really felt she was going to run in 2012 but I believe she was given numbers that showed she could not win. I think that tea Partiers and FReepers alone couldn’t do it. She has to win over some of the low info voters.

There would need to be a way to use or bypass the mainstream media. I believe she could win if she could show that the conventional wisdom against her is flat out false, but I am not sure that is even possible. Her negatives are in the Hitler range, lies or not!

I think she should have run, even if Obama defeated her a second time, but she chose not to, and also all but stopped her constant and wonderful public commentary on events. It was as if she had said, “yep, I’m fightin’ for America, but mostly for me, ‘cause if I can’t win, I don’t even want to enter the ring!” And for the second time (first was leaving the governor post, though I understand her reasons, I feel that was wrong), I lost a lot of respect for her.

If she had run, she would have won the primary, and it would have put OUR VALUES into every debate with Obama.

That would have been worth every single bit of pain inflicted on her family. Most of the patriot founders went through a whole lot worse. If she really were devoted to the country, she would have known she was the only candidate to get our values even SPOKEN in the media. So I still feel a little angry at her about that.

Definitely, yes. Sarah Palin is one of the very few bright lights still shining in the Republican party.

However, we need a through cleaning out of the current GOP hierarchy so that Palin would have party support instead of the party doing everything they can to undermine her.

Following the coming 'train wreck' of Obamacare and the injury that will do to millions of Americans along with our already shaky economy, Sarah Palin would have a real shot at defeating Hillary 'what does it matter?' Rodman-Clinton. In addition, I'm confident that conservatives would crawl over broken glass to vote for her. Well, I would.

Yes, but being as she can’t trust the Republican party, I don’t think she will run.

She knows the GOP-e despises her.

If she makes a big move to personally campaign for many Conservatives in 2014, then you will know she is testing the waters for a serious run in 2016.

Her strategy in 14 will be to mainly go after the GOP-e in order to push "real" Conservatives against the RINOs. If that effort is successful, then she will move early to run.

Does the left have a ton of dirt on the GOP-e? That’s the only explaination for 90% of their actions!

Here’s another comment.

The media onslaught against Palin was nothing personal.

In other words, they didn’t attack her because she wasn’t personally a likable person, or a competent person, or a decent person. She is all of the above.

They attacked her for her political views.

And anyone with similar political views is going to endure the same kind of onslaught from the same people.

Palin has been through it once already. I think it was a bit more vicious than she expected. Now she knows quite well what the game is, and (as W said) “This ain’t her first rodeo.”

For all of those reasons, she might well be the BEST qualified candidate to take these people on. If she decides to run, of course.

I don't dislike her, but she has a thin resume with a massive hole in it. Unfortunately our bench is practically non-existent. I would support her, but I am not convinced anything can save us at this point.

I feel like a person falling from an airplane. I could reach out for a tarp or a cushion but there are none in sight. I could pray for Iron Man to swoop me up, but he does not exist. I could give up and tuck into a dive to get it over with faster. But like most people I am just flailing around fully aware that my efforts are in vain, but unwilling to give up completely.

Go to your preferred Electoral College Vote Mapping website and find a scenario where she can win 271 EVs in 2016. I use http://www.270towin.com/

The battleground states: FL, OH, IN, NC, NV, CO, IA,

Can Palin win those states? I don’t see her taking Indiana or Ohio or Nevada. Florida will be even more Democrat-leaning by 2016,

I don’t see Palin able to bring in 7 to 9 million more votes than Romney or McCain/Palin. I don’t see Palin having the coattails to buttress/bolster the House majority.

I also honestly don’t see her doing anything at this time to prepare herself to reenter the public arena on a sustained basis to build name recognition, so I doubt she’s seriously considering running.

I'm thinking its time to destroy the GOP by running Palin and Cruz on a USA Party ticket with the goal of moving the capital out of DC as Job No. I.

GOP voters vote for the GOP because they don't want to vote for domestic communists.

With Palin as head of a new party with a mission to destroy the federal apparatus in DC as the primary plank in its platform, there would be very few GOP voters that wouldn't jump ship.

Yes. However I must note that the MSM did an extraordinary job damaging Sarah. I know low information conservatives who parrot the MSM line because it’s playing in the background 24/7 and their hind brain absorbs it. They “know” she’s (fill-in-blank) even though when you question them they can’t back up anything they said.

BTW, I’m looking for conservative candidates to back. When I had a job, I sent $100 to each of them. Now, I’ll run around and wave signs and put up posters. (BTW, Michelle Bachman sold my name to EVERYBODY. Don’t use your real cell phone number.)
