Most computer nerds have various reasons for ‘anti-social’ behavior. Smell is just one of them.
Tokyo Rove doesn’t make money from GOTV efforts. He makes his money from making TV ads and buying advertising time. And it’s a lot easier to run ads than having to go out and talk to people.
The irony is, Rove built a very effective GOTV process for the 2004 elections, and the Obama team used that model as a starting point for their GOTV process in 2008. And the GOP has backslid since. IMO they still largely think of calling landlines, sending direct mail and running TV commercials. All three of which are declining media.
Rove hates GOTV these days because he would have to go out to talk to to the grassroots conservatives he despises. And of course, he also doesn’t want to hear what they would tell him and his operatives. That’s why they decided to “target the middle” and waste their money on mass advertising.
Obama cheated. This guy knows because he helped him.
So much specul;ation/assertion, but the truth is worse than it all: little barry bastard slime got re-elected because not enough opposed to his regime got off their complacent asses and voted to oust him. Line up all the reasons in the excuses in the world and it still comes down to ‘the only needed for evil to triumph is for good to do nothing.’
All the dems have to do to win a national election is win 15-20 major metro areas in a few swing states. That is what they did. They didn’t win most of the congressional districts in the swing states, they won overwhelmingly in a few urban areas. That will be hard for the GOP to beat. Unless we start allocating electoral votes by CD we will struggle to win the presidency going forward and the dems know that, hence their rather narrow campaign emphasis.
What means is that the cities have ceased being America.
That is why A big earth quake and perhaps a big boom will be necessary to restore America to it’s roots
