EPA waives fee requests for friendly groups, denies conservative groups
Washington Examiner ^ | 5/14/13 | Michal Conger

Posted on 05/17/2013 10:18:15 PM PDT by Kartographer

For 92 percent of requests from green groups, the EPA cooperated by waiving fees for the information. Those requests came from the Natural Resources Defense Council, EarthJustice, Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility, The Waterkeeper Alliance, Greenpeace, Southern Environmental Law Center and the Center for Biological Diversity.

Of the requests that were denied, the EPA said the group either didn’t respond to requests for justification of a waiver, or didn’t express intent to disseminate the information to the general public, according to documents obtained by The Washington Examiner.

CEI, on the other hand, had its requests denied 93 percent of the time. One request was denied because CEI failed to express its intent to disseminate the information to the general public. The rest were denied because the agency said CEI “failed to demonstrate that the release of the information requested significantly increases the public understanding of government operations or activities.”

The course is clear...... disregard the EPA

Disregard their regulations, demean their people, overlook their threats

Act as if this was a free country.

It's like Rush was saying on his radio program the other day. No-one has to give these government employees 'orders', they're all commies and automatically know what to do.

It looks like the commies now control ever aspect of government.

We Are Doomed (WAD!)

Just so folks are aware. Here in Houston, The head of the King Street Patriots (Tea Party Group), I think out of the suburb of Kingwood was interviewed on the local radio station.

Very scary what she shared. A chronology of events that transpired over many months. She also (can't remember her name)began or supported a group called, True the Vote.

She and her husband also own a small business. They were subjected to IRS audits, at least two FBI visits, BATF, EPA, OSHA visits in regards to their side business. Not sure the nature of their side business. I caught the last twenty or thirty minutes of the interview with Michael Berry.

What I did catch was STUNNING! Multiple agencies were sicked on them in an effort to stifle their efforts to train folks to monitor polling places on election day.

This goes deep. All I could think.....this IS what tyranny looks like. IRS,FBI,EPA,BATF,OSHA all zero in on the head of a Tea Party group before and during an election cycle.

Time to take our Government back folks...call, write then call again your representatives urging independent investigators to probe this stuff. The more calls, the more pressure, the better the chance Boner will bend to the will of the people.

WHY HAS NO ONE BEEN ARRESTED AND LOSING THEIR PENSIONS?

Why has obama not stepped down,? Nixon stepped down and this was no where as bad as what Obama and his Chicago goons have done

this corrupt media are now backing down and hardly reporting it and they are certainly not mentioning and linking Obama in all of this.

I heard one fool state who this as a couple of people in the Govt and there is no way oabma knows what everyone is doing in Govt.
I asked where she gets the info from and she told me NBC.

Of course I had to correct her and told her to stay away from MSNBC, NBC, CNN

Proof that you can’t not lead a horse to water this days you have to carry them.

From: Competitive Enterprise Institute home page that has a link in the article.

About CEI
The Competitive Enterprise Institute is a non-profit public policy organization dedicated to advancing the principles of limited government, free enterprise, and individual liberty. Our mission is to promote both freedom and fairness by making good policy good politics. We make the uncompromising case for economic freedom because we believe it is essential for entrepreneurship, innovation, and prosperity to flourish.

Unique among free market groups, CEI pursues a full-service approach to advancing public policy. We publish original scholarly studies that make the case for an issue, but our work doesn’t end there. We then take it to the next level by marketing our policy proposals. We craft and deploy media advocacy campaigns around that foundation of solid research in order to reach policy makers, influential opinion leaders, and grassroots activists. CEI policy analysts produce timely commentaries for major news organizations, appear on television and radio, and reach out to beat reporters covering our issues.

We also build coalitions, joining with allies to advance specific issues at the state, national, and international levels. When appropriate, we pursue our pro-freedom advocacy in court. We have brought lawsuits challenging the constitutionality of dubious statutes, interstate agreements, and onerous regulations, and we have sued government agencies to force the disclosure of public information.

Founded in 1984, CEI has grown into an effective advocate for freedom on a wide range of critical policy issues, including energy, environment, business and finance, technology, telecommunications, and food and drug regulation.

To: Revolting cat!

You have no idea how much I am becoming sorry I posted this story. The error was un-intentional as I originally from the story on the Tucson newspaper which when I went to post it I found out couldn’t be because of copyright, so I thought the story was of such importance I would search for it somewhere else which lead me to the Washington Examiner, which tile was to big. Then I have had numerous complaints by FReepers who expect me to do their research for them and complaints about how the story was written even though I didn’t right it.

My apologies. I think I’ll ask the mods to delete the whole post and thread as it seems its post offends far to many FReepers and I really don’t need the grief.

Well I have figured out how we’re going to get rid of the deficit. Eliminate the EPA, IRS, Obamacare and Department of Education and this country would right itself in no time.
