A secretly drafted bill to block release of photos, tapes of 911 calls and death certificates related to the Dec. 14 Newtown elementary school massacre could be acted on in the General Assembly as early as the end of the week, officials said Wednesday.
Family members of victims would have discretion over release of some of the records.
A draft of the bill was released Wednesday afternoon by Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's office, which has been working behind the scenes in recent weeks on drafting the language with legislative leaders and the office of the state's top prosecutor, Chief State's Attorney Kevin Kane.
Word of the planned legislation was kept from the public until Tuesday, when The Courant obtained a copy of an email written by a Kane assistant that said Malloy's legal staff told him a draft of a "special act" would be quickly "forthcoming."

We've become the State of **unintended effects** with these laws.
All reps in the Capitol should resign...including the gov.
Guess they are making up for not letting the parents see or ID the remains.....and for letting their kids bodies decompose while they sat in the schoolhouse for over 24hrs
Too many here just willy nilly accept the liberal media spin on Newton....even though the liberal media reported every thing incorrect. Something is not right with this Newtown story
I say whats not right is Lanza mother was trying to commit the devil and the St was dragging its feet, then came the shootings.I say this is in the report and Malloy and his band of thieves(similar to Obamas) are doing there best to cover it up.
Good point....if Ma Lanza was trying to have him comitted ...and the state fought it....the state now would be trying to cover arse
At the risk of sounding cold hearted...
I am sick of the “Newtown Families”. At first, my heart broke for them. Then, they entered the arena of politics and insisted that me and mine should someday be as helpless as those children were.
Although I still grieve for those kids, I am out of sympathy for their families.
Many share your sentiments....few express them in public.
We’re sick of the spectacle and how those babies were *used* to evoke unconstitutional legislation.
Now we’re facing a FOI law passed in secret and challenges to the latest gun laws. May truth and justice prevail.
I agree. I find it very odd how we still know nothing about the evil monster Adam. No reporter did one of those exclusive interviews. None of the other students, teachers, neighbors or relatives had anything to say. Tons of misinformation was disseminated and then buried. Like the two other people in the woods behind the school that was caught on video.
This was the opportunity that the statists were waiting for to come after our guns.
Well, we’re never going to *know* the full story.
We’re still waiting on the state’s attorney report. Legislators voted on the obscene gun law without the/any info from that report.
Many suspect much will be kept secret. I’m resigned...we’ll never know.
+1
>>Were still waiting on the states attorney report.
Has there been anything on a release date? I remember it being said back in January that about now was when it would come out. Or was that the state police report?
Similarly, we have:

*What does it matter?*
Lt. Paul Vance [CSP] only wants us to know certain things....thas all we’ll get.

CT Nazis... who would have ever thought.

So it would appear that the Anti-freedom brigades are back at it again.
They were anxiously waiting for another massacre in a Gun free zone* in order to have another run at Liberty with their Universal Registration legislation.
So this must be their plan B get everyone emotional reworked up over Newtown so they could try once again for the Precursor to Universal Confiscation..
