In the latest news rising out of the ashes of what once were the pristine halls of the IRS, a secretary has been arrested and charged with a felony for using an IRS issued credit card for personal items. Yetunde Oseni, 37 started working as a secretary in the Lanham, Maryland office of the IRS in 2000. In 2009, she was issued a Citibank MasterCard to be used for the purchasing of office supplies.

It appears that Oseni decided that she could use her IRS MasterCard to purchase personal items off the internet, mostly at Amazon.com. When asked for the receipts for her purchases, she tried to alter them so as to hide her personal spending. An investigation was launched and it was discovered that Oseni had purchased a minimum of $8,515 worth of items for her and her family.

This arrest and Lerner on admin leave are not enough.

They are throwing a few people under the bus to appease angry taxpayers. That’s not enough. We will not be appeased. Shut down the whole corrupt organization and repeal the 16th amendment.

This is a good start. Keep going.

“So what else has been going on behind their closed doors? With everything we’ve been hearing over the past couple of weeks, you can’t help but wonder what other sordid and illegal things have been taking place in the IRS.”

Ha! I say multiply HER by thousands...and then you'll get a picture of why this country is on the skids.

No vetting? OK-No problem.... No accountability? Sure- No problem! Etc.

I am sure her $8,000 plus spree would likely be peanuts compared to the other stuff that goes on!

Think the MSM will publicize this?

FACEBOOK PHOTO According to The Smoking Gun, Oseni struggled to manage her finances -- even with embezzled government funds. In June 2011, she filed for bankruptcy, citing debts in the $50,000 to $100,000 range. But a judge dismissed her case when she failed for file the necessary documents. Oseni has worked since 2000 as a secretary in an IRS office in Lanham, Maryland.

“Yetunda”? ‘Bettin’ she’s not amish. And I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s got herself one of those obamaphones, too.

You have to understand discipline in the IRS, it is inverse to grade level. Secretaries are probably on the lower end of the scale, perhaps GS5-7 or so. Meanwhile, the big cheese at the SES or higher G levels like 14 or 15 would get a slap on wrist for things those at the bottom get fired over. For instance, how about those who owe back taxes? Why even the former chief of the treasury, his less than honorable lil timmy Gaitner was a tax cheat and still got the job plus got to stay on once it was announced.

I’ve heard a defense of the “over-representation” of blacks in government jobs “because they feel safer there”.

Seems like there’s another cultural motivation for getting a gov’t job.

what is wrong with these people

A complete lack of a conscience.

In order to function morally in modern society, one must possess a conscience. The actions of some groups can only be explained by a seeming lack of conscience in the members of the group.
