Judy Faulkner Likely Has Your Medical Records (Meet the Billionaire Obama Crony in charge of it)
The Real Revo ^ | 05/23/2013

Posted on 05/25/2013 7:56:29 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Ms. Faulkner is worth two billion dollars.

More than 40% of the U.S. population will have its medical information stored in an Epic digital medical record by 2013. Clients include many of the country’s top hospitals, including the Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins, and Cedars-Sinai. Faulkner largely shuns the press and leads a modest lifestyle.”

From Real Clear Politics:

Who is Judy Faulkner? Chances are, you don’t know her — but her politically connected, taxpayer-subsidized electronic medical records company may very well know you. Top Obama donor and billionaire Faulkner is founder and CEO of Epic Systems, which will soon store almost half of all Americans’ health information.

If the crony odor and the potential for abuse that this “epic” arrangement poses don’t chill your bones, you ain’t paying attention.

As I first noted last year before the IRS witch hunts and DOJ journalist snooping scandals broke out, Obama’s federal electronic medical records (EMR) mandate is government malpractice at work. The stimulus law provided a whopping $19 billion in “incentives” (read: subsidies) to force hospitals and medical professionals into converting from paper to electronic record-keeping systems. Penalties kick in next year for any provider who fails to comply with the one-size-fits-all edict.”

From Forbes:

Judy Faulkner might not be a household name yet, but in the health care industry, she’s simply known as Judy. She is the founder and chief executive officer of Epic Systems, a privately-held $1.5 billion (2012 revenue) company that sells electronic health records—a position that makes her one of the few self-made women on the Forbes billionaires list. Her customers are top medical centers, such as Cleveland Clinic, Geisinger Health System, and Johns Hopkins. She wields enormous influence. Almost half of the U.S. population will have its medical information stored in Epic digital records when hospitals finish installing them.”

when one of these hacker groups decides to post the medical records of every celebrity, politician, athlete, etc. all over the internet for the world to see...it’s going to be a fine meltdown to watch

Judith Faulkner is the recently named Obama medical records czar. She was not only put in charge of deciding which company would be used for Obama’s official electronic medical records system, but she also just happens to have an electronic medical records company of her own.

And, gosh, it seems her company is suddenly quite busy and just might be in line to become THE electronic medical records company. Imagine that.

Epic is the most God-awful EMR ever. It loses millions for every hospital system that switches to it. But they still keep switching to it. Are hospital executives being paid off (or threatened)?

Using Epic is like being slowly lowered into a chipper/shredder while someone is scraping their fingernails across a chalkboard, only worse.

From Canada Free Press:

Faulkner’s company isn’t just working on various government contracts. She also has some big union contracts, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) for one… one of the biggest government employees unions.

Kaiser Permanente (SEIU-UHW)

Cleveland Clinic (SEIU)

Cedars Sinai (SEIU-UHW and CIR-SEIU)

NYU Langone Medical Center (SEIU)

Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (SEIU)

Harvard Community Health Plan (SEIU)

Sutter Health (SEIU)

Geisinger Health System (SEIU)

I suppose with her close connections to the SEIU, a big Obama supporter, it shouldn’t surprise that she is suddenly favored by Obama for appointment to one of his big “committees,” one responsible for spending big Obama bucks.

After her appointment to the health records committee, Faulkner donated $85,000 through the 2010 election to Democrats. This included $50,400 to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and $7,500 to the DNC. (source Center for Responsive Politics)

The purpose of federalizing the healthcare system had nothing to do with reducing costs, quite the opposite. The purpose of federalizing the whole healthcare system was to unionize it under it a single federal union, creating a permanent Democrat voting block.

The same delay and deny tactics that we have observed in the politicized IRS will then be implemented into the healthcare system. As a matter of fact, much of the politicization has been codified in the Affordable Care Act in the form of Affirmative Action type programs.

All politics aside for a moment, the software product that Judy built - called Epic - is by far the best electronic medical record system for coordinated patient care in the world. She’s beat the competition in the market hands down. I can’t stand her politics, but I credit her great product.

Companies buy it because it is the best, not because it costs the most!

So, the question I have is, if I didn’t sign a release of my medical records to the US Government or Epic Systems, can I sue them, the hospitals and my doctor, for medical malpractice or invasion of privacy?
