Economic freedom is not relevant to Moslems. War is the only thing that makes them peaceful, war and deprivation of resources. Any wealth that the Moslem world has over and above that required to keep the population at a subsistence level and a tiny elite in splendor goes to jihad. It has been thus for 1400 years. The Moslem world was quiescent when it was poor and beaten by the technological superiority and the overwhelming wealth advantage of the Western world, when it was colonized by Europeans and divided up by nations and cartels. When they grew wealthy from western money given them for oil things changed. Islam began to attack its neighbors and the Christians and Jews within and on its borders. All of that oil wealth, did it go into development would make populations wealthy eventually but most of it goes back to the West destructively as jihad.

Free markets are contrary to Islam. Islam is submission to Allah and to the Caliphs and to Fate. "Allah will provide." That which is gained by human effort is useless and the rulers- the caliph or substitutes will take it for themselves, Allah, and Jihad. Most Moslems, especially the Arabs and Arabized populations workand strive only enough to subsist.

Real free markets and vigorous defense against Islamic expansion will kick the mohammedans back to their casbahs and quiescence, Free markets unencumbered by onerous regulation and taxes because it will increase the wealth and martial capabilities of the West far faster than the wealth so generously donated to the Mohammedan countries in exchange for their oil.

Say no more. I have an apt Ayn Rand quote for you:

"You can avoid reality, but you can't avoid the consequences of avoiding reality."
