While I do generally believe that wisdom, I am not certain that it is the motivating factor in this case.
It may be an ideology whose goal is the complete and total control and domination of others. The establishment of Utopia, which is heaven for those who run it and hell for everyone else who lives in it.
Certainly money is involved, but I think lust for power and control are key. Notice, for example, that Bloomberg has all the money that he can ever use, but what he desires, what drives him, is something else.

I think I can imagine the answer, however I am just not sure such would occur or that even if it did that it would be effective.
But what really has me concerned about this is what is the controlling legal authority that would respond to the constitutional crisis of a president refusing to leave once his term expired?
If there is no answer to that, it seems to me that this is the man who would test it.
