EDEN, Texas – Two people are dead and five injured, including a sheriff, after a gunman in Central Texas opened fire on several vehicles, apparently at random, authorities said.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said the gunman is among the dead. His identity was not released Monday, but authorities said he was a 23-year-old North Carolina resident.

DPS said the shootings began about 4:30 a.m. Sunday when the gunman shot a motorist in the Eden area in Concho County, about 40 miles southeast of San Angelo. Over the next 90 minutes, he's suspected of shooting two people who were sitting in a car at a convenience store in McCulloch County and then another motorist back in adjacent Concho County.

Shortly after 6 a.m., a 41-year-old woman, Alicia Torres, was found dead in her car in Eola, just east of San Angelo.

Sounds like suicide by cop, but why do these idiots have to take others with them.

this was on Yahoo news and the writer said the gunman was from North Carolina and then after that she repeated ‘Texas shooter, Texas shooter’ about ten times, once twice in one sentence.

I wouldn’t call the area around San Angelo, central Texas. That is more west Texas.

The guy was from North Carolina - wonder why he came to Texas to kill anyone he saw.

Is there more behind this and the other shootings than what is published? No way! Just thinking outside the box.

Yes, it happened in my neck of the woods. We get more crime out here in West TX from outsiders coming in to work in the oilfields.

Identified here as a Ex-Marine. Looks like he shot his girlfriend in North Carolina and then went on a shooting spree in Texas.

It has been reported that a United States Marine who went on a shooting spree across two Texas counties before being shot and killed in a firefight has been linked to a woman’s body found in a North Carolina motel room.

Authorities have not been able to say why Esteban J Smith aged 23 went on the deadly shooting spree. Smith was based at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Check the toxicology report when it comes back. I’m betting on some good drugs in his system.

The guy had a Select Fire Military Weapon, or did he have something that “looked like” a Select Fire Military Weapon?

Details, details, details. Low Information Lemmings need to know, or not.
