As I said in my post, surveillance can, in my opinion, be regulated and stopped, often very quickly.
Liberalism, on the other hand, cannot be easily undone. It is like a brain tumor, reaching into the sulci and crevasses of government, society and culture to the point where it cannot be removed without killing the host, which it eventually kills anyway.
Liberalism is the chicken, and this surveillance is the egg.
I think we can agree we’re discussing the relative horrors of two liberty destroying phenomena. Fair enough. Both suck. ;-)
