You have to hand it to the New Left. They cannot even directly admit when they lie under oath. No, they have to call it being untruthful as if that somehow mitigates the fact that they lied. To the New Left, truth can be stated in degrees, apparently. Case in point is James Clapper, the National Intelligence Director under the Obama administration.
That was before revelations by Eric Snowden, NSA whistleblower. Since Snowdens claims have come to the fore, Clapper has had to backtrack, but has done it in an interesting way. Rather than simply admit, I lied, Clapper said he has been untruthful, but even the way he said that makes him appear as though it wasnt really his fault. Clapper has now admitted he gave the least untruthful answer to a direct question in March about the extent of surveillance on US citizens. The admission sets up a critical test of Clappers relationship with the congressional committees that oversee him committees the Obama administration is relying on for its defense of the surveillance efforts.
clapperWow, so in the end, Clapper states that his answer was the least untruthful. The least untruthful. That doesnt even make sense? How can something be the least untruthful? Its a double negative, isnt it, which makes it a positive? Shouldnt it be the least TRUTHFUL? Not for James Clapper. Its the least UNtruthful. Thanks for saying what you mean, Jimmy. But maybe he did say what he meant
James Clapper is being completely deceitful
still. Some are not willing to allow Clapper to get away with it. Justin Amash, a Michigan Republican, wrote that Clapper lied under oath to Congress.

It IS a Clapper caper!
Really! This is the proverbial cake taker. Clapper had a number of responses he could have given, all of them untruthful. The responses ranged from the least untruthful to the most untruthful. He magnanimously chose the least untruthful. What a guy huh?
Clapper is a CLYMER....A LYING CLYMER. He’s also DUMB as a bag of rocks.....that’s why Obama has him.
“James Clapper Admits He Gave “Least Untruthful” Response”
All this proves is that the government has no interest in telling the American people the truth. Tells you all you need to know about the ideology of government and why no law has been passed in years that help the vast majority of tax payers.
“Least untruthful” — It is a LIE, Mr. Clapper!! OR any of the following synonyms:
aspersion, backbiting, calumniation, calumny, deceit, deception, defamation, detraction, dishonesty, disinformation, distortion, evasion, fable, fabrication, falsehood, falseness, falsification, falsity, fib, fiction, forgery, fraudulence, guile, hyperbole, inaccuracy, invention, libel, mendacity, misrepresentation, misstatement, myth, obloquy, perjury, prevarication, revilement, reviling, slander, subterfuge, tale, tall story, vilification, white lie, whopper
And wasn’t it some (GOP, if my memory serves me correctly) member(s) on the panel whom gave the questions to this douche 24hrs. in advance?!
Clapper was given that question and
others by a Democrat the day before.
He could have signaled to only answer in closed
session. Instead he choose to perjure himself.
What’s the next highest category, “almost least untruthful”? “more least untruthful”? “the most truthful untruth”? I’m going back to bed, then later, start this day over.
Clapper has been a weasel his whole professional and military career.
There is a reason he didn’t tell the truth. He thought the collection of all our data was illegal, therefore he told a lie and said No, it isn’t collected. If he had thought this collection was legal, he would have said, Yes, it is collected.
You can admit to a legal act, but not to an illegal act, so he lied. He needs to be prosecuted, but that won’t happen.
He must make his mama so proud that she taught him values and right from wrong.
Makes perfect sense if you are a Lefty/Democrat/Liberal. An example would be if a Lefty goes into a store, steals a ball bearing and a diamond, and gets caught. He might admit to stealing the ball bearing, but not the diamond. In that case, he is being the “least untruthful.” It, like so many other things in their universe, is a sliding scale. No black and white...just gray.
