Washington’s decision to arm Syria’s Sunni Muslim rebels has plunged America into the great Sunni-Shia conflict of the Islamic Middle East, entering a struggle that now dwarfs the Arab revolutions which overthrew dictatorships across the region.

Cool. Wait until Iran’s troops show up and THEN give the rebels just enough arms to keep things in balance. Make this baby last 10 years!

In 37 both Daladier and Chamberlain kept their countries out of the Spanish Civil War even though these was much enthusiasm among the left in each country to oppose the Fascists.

Because they're killing Christians....

He just wants to give them bigger weapons to get a bigger body count.

That’s 4000 *more* thugs that Iran’s sending — not to mention that their proxies the Hizbullah were sent in months ago.

Syria’s Christians make up 10% of the population there. Under Assad, they have been allowed to live in peace.

America’s “allies”, the rebels, have been murdering these Christians as fast as they can. According to a recent report, the rebels have wiped out an entire Christian town.

I agree with your post. But on a side note, I do not understand why muzzies have fully automatic rifles & RPG's & surface-to-air rockets, etc, etc., all the way down to 5 yr old child muzzies. And yet 10% of Syria's population who are Christians, apparently have no weapons or home-grown militia to defend themselves. Everybody else (lefties, muzzies) all are armed to the teeth except for Christians in all other nations. And we are just an eyelash away from losing our 2nd Amendment rights here in the U.S. It's time to bring on the battle....let's git 'er done!

This should be interesting, especially if Russia puts its foot down

Probably eliminates my need to worry about retirement money.

Sheesh... Up is down, and down is up.
Now I'm rooting for Iran and Assad. And last year I was rooting for the Libyan Fashionisita over the Al-Quida lot that Obummer was supporting.
What a mess...

I’ve got the gas mask, the ‘bug-out bag’, potassium iodide tablets—the whole nine yards.
What I’m wondering though is whether to pack Graham crackers, marshmallows and Hershey bars.
Would it be a bad thing to make s’mores while the world is blowing itself up?

Thanks for the ping. Just as the U.S. is closing bases in Germany and Spain.

this is being played out like this so that Israel can attack iran and against the current backdrop that won’t seem like that much of a big deal.
people have thought that Obama didn’t like Israel but that is just a smokescreen.
American jews have a huge influence on our policy towards Israel.

It’s a standard stunt of Obie’s to show up at the end of a conflict, make a few meaningless contributions, then take credit for solving the problem. It’s worked for him on the domestic front, but it’s not going to work here. This isn’t a situation where he can con the French into fighting the battle, and it isn’t a situation where either side is anywhere close to failing. So he’s really biting off more than he can chew.

Yeah, that ‘leading from behind’ drill doesn’t work so well outside the Beltway or a Chicago bathhouse.
But he must be getting pressured, I suspect by Brennan and Jarrett especially. He’s way too frisky right now.
I suppose they’re looking for a pretext to divert attention from their domestic troubles. Like Clinton.

Russia already has troops on the Syrian Border on stand by....not to mention their fleet in Syria’s port.

I’m just going to say that Syria will not go silently into the night by any means...Assad has said when he was asked in interviews would he leave Syria...” Why would I do that, Syria is my home, Syria is my country.”

He is going to continue to fight this and will indeed use everything he has to not let “His Country” be given over to the Islamist terrorists....nor will he bow to any outsiders that attempt to subject Syria to the Mulsim brotherhood.

Looks like the makings are in play for a proxy war with US and Russia...not to mention the whole MID-East uprising is still who has control of the oil revenues.
