AP The Congressional Budget Office said Tuesday that the immigration bill currently being debated in the Senate would reduce the federal budget deficit by $875 billion over the first 20 years it becomes law.
The CBO said in its official scoring of the bill that it would reduce the deficit by $175 billion in its first 10 years of existence. Over the next decade, it would provide an additional $700 billion of deficit reduction.
That amounts to 0.2% of GDP.
If the bill becomes law, the CBO estimated that about 10.4 million people would come to the United States as new immigrants. And it would legalize about 8 million people who currently live in the country as unauthorized immigrants.
The CBO's scoring of the bill pleased immigration reform advocates, the Senate "Gang of Eight" sponsors of the bill, and President Barack Obama.

Let’s see. Immigrants will pour in who earn so little as to pay virtually no income taxes, while simultaneously consuming huge amounts of “free” government-sponsored education, welfare, Obamacare, Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, disability, government housing, Obamaphones, etc.
Somehow, this magically cures the budget deficit. Perhaps the CBO is factoring in additional taxes received form the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus.
And how, exactly, will amnesty curb the deficit when for the cost of a cheap fine, 20 million newly minted Democrap voters will be depending on the system???
the same people who told us that obamacare would reduce costs,, yea letting in millions who are not educated, who have welfare for their families will truly reduce the debt and be a positive for the country
Even if this were true, our congress would have it spent before the first dollar was collected.
They come to America II

Now we *know* the con is on. This is the same crap the CBO said about ObamaCare.
Sure and the AFFORDABLE CARE ACT WAS GOING TO CUT A FAMILY OF FIVE’S MEDICAL COVERAGE BY $2500.00 PER YEAR... THOSE WERE CBO FIGURES... NOW THE CBO SAYS THAT IT WILL TAKE $20,000.00 PER YEAR FOR THE BRONZE POLICY. LIARS ALL!!!
wow, that bill must really be stalling,,now we have this bogus CBObama report with information no one should trust. Gee,,who is surprised? Anyone?
I do not know why anyone would believe what comes out of Washington anymore.
The lies start when they give a bill a name. The name never matches up with what the bill will really do if it becomes law.
And anytime they say a particular bill will save money, hold on to your wallet because what that means it is going to cost way more then they are willing to tell us.
The CBO also said the same thing about Obamacare, then changed it’s mind after it was rammed through.
Just remember there are real people at CBO putting this information together and the IRS and NSA have the same type photos as they have on Justice Roberts, mating with animals, shoplifting, keeping a nanny locked in the house, etc.
My first thought.

I ordered this DVD and it is a must see. Order this and get 4 free. Have a watching party!
Just like they figured ObamaCare would cost 900 billion except when it would cost 2.5 trillion and counting.
Welfare for the uneducated illegal masses will reduce the deficit! Don’t know whether to laugh or cry at such stupidity.
It would be great to see the actual assumptions that allows them to come to such a conclusion. I believe it would be quite revealing. The key to any analysis are the assumptions used.
In a perverse way, that's one of the most encouraging comments on the thread!
