Bill Schaeffer says that O’Mara is conducting classic voir dire that should be read in law schools. Has accomplished more in one hour today than Bernie did in five hours yesterday. Has heard from 25 of the 40 jurors and has been able to present elements of his case at the same time.
At one point Bernie objected to O’Mara’s presentation of jury instructions as incorrect. Nelson said that she would read them to the jury — so O’Mara gives her his notes and she reads from them to the jury. Schaeffer noted the significance of that that the jury had to have picked up on.
Maybe starting next week, just run 1 thread for the rest of the trial? That way we can go back and look at notes easier?
So, if they prove the photos’ of Georges’s bashed head and broken nose are REAL, then right there, he was justified to use deadly force. Right?
Bernie objects to the jury instruction on the law of self defense. He wants jurors who are confused on it. He doesn’t want the jury to know that it is the duty of the state to disprove of the defendant’s claim of self defense.
Judge Nelson is getting mad at a pj right now as he is asking about the meaning of the law and terms therein and she tells him/them that the court will not provide that other than to give them a reading and copy of the law.

by having judge nelson reading this, the jury hears all of the jury instructions on deadly force. had mm read only a portion then that would be what he could question on. now he can ask about all aspects of this instruction. bdlr opened a huge door right there

Yes. O’Mara is brilliant today. Schaeffer (legal analyst at WFTV) said the state was jovial yesterday and today is defensive. I pray for Zimmerman and his family.
