Barack Obama 'Savages' Catholic Education
American Thinker ^ | 06/20/2013 | Jeannie DeAngelis

It's already been firmly established that if a person, group or ideology disagrees with Barack Obama, he becomes fixated on them and then, any opportunity he gets, he makes provocative comments that could be interpreted as a warning shot. The message? Barack Obama doesn't forget ideological unfaithfulness, and if he can, he'll shut you up by shutting you down.

The president has imposed his bad attitude on, to name but a few: Conservatives, specifically of the tea party brand, right-leaning talk radio, Fox News, and the group the left views as the seat of pro-life advocacy, the Catholic Church.

Catholicism is a prime target because it's an autonomous, self-governing entity that continues to insist on having the freedom to exercise the First Amendment right to freedom of religion, and has defied the administration by refusing to submit to Obamacare contraceptive and abortion directives.

So while in Northern Ireland for the G8 summit, Obama didn't waste the opportunity to taunt Catholics worldwide by saying inflammatory things to schoolchildren. Despite the fact that just days prior, Vatican Prefect Archbishop Gerhard Müller told Scots that Catholic education is "a critical component of the Church," Barack Obama, speaking to an audience of about 2,000 students at Belfast's Waterfront hall, made what was described as "an alarming call for an end to Catholic education," saying:

"If towns remain divided-if Catholics have their schools and buildings and Protestants have theirs, if we can't see ourselves in one another and fear or resentment are allowed to harden-that too encourages division and discourages cooperation.'

It's hard to recall, but when the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize winner was in Indonesia, Cairo or Turkey, did he also suggest to Muslims that schooling children in madrassas "encourages division and discourages cooperation?"

Your ignorance is indeed the foundation of the disagreement.

If someone from Pew approached Soetoro and asked him if he is an Amercian and he said yes, you'd accept the answer as gospel.

Pointing out that you don't know what you're talking about isn't an insult.

Continue the tap dance as you dig that hole you're in.

without rebuke.

You emote, you don't think and if you don't want to be exposed as being full of s*** then don't publicly expose the fact that you're full of s***.

discourages cooperation

That's the Marxist's biggest gripe. Opposition to his evil.

Let’s go back a short distance into recent history, only about 3 or 4 months. A young female Army officer was sent out with a “civil rights” presentation for Army reservists that equated all Catholics, most Protestant Evangelicals, and observant Orthodox Jews with Mudslime terrorists. When the regime was called on this abomination, they promptly threw the young lady under the bus, contending she concocted the presentation entirely on her own and that higher authority didn’t have anything to do with it. Now we pretty well know, that just as with the IRS, the impetus for that vile attack on Judeo-Christian religion came from the Mudslime in Chief, the Illegal himself.

I would be interested in knowing the religious practices of those who claim to be catholic obama supporters.

There are a lot of people who self proclaim Catholicism but do not practice the faith they claim as their own. How often do these catholics attend mass? Daily? Weekly? Monthly? on Christmas and Easter? Never? Have they been confirmed? Married in the church? Go to confession? Do they visit the sick? The imprisoned?

And here’s the kicker.... Are they true followers of Christ. Merely calling yourself catholic does not make it so...A person who truly follows the teachings of Jesus could not vote for Barack Obama and his merry band. Remember....by their deeds you shall know them.

Please note that the circled part of the slide condemns all Catholics as extremists, wile only giving a similar label to Evangelical Protestants and Ultra-Orthodox Jews. The Illegal is really out to get the Catholic Church.

I'm Irish by blood and a historian. Obama shouldn't speak on something on which he has no clue. The "troubles" while still around aren't nearly what they were even 20 years ago.

Now this rooster sucker is going to stir things up.

‘And Catholics would vote for him if he could run again.’
‘Only Obama-Catholics.’

Unfortunately the so-called ‘Obama-Catholics’ are the majority of Catholics in the US. They also happen to be lw information voters.

So the guy who grew up going to the madrassa, daily reciting the shahada, and now favors Muslims over all others, thinks that a parochial education might prejudice a person against those of another belief? He might be onto something.

That chart shoes white Catholics voting for Romney 60-40, they are in the clear as far as I am concerned.

The Hispanic Catholics voted 75% for Obama and these voters made the overall Catholic vote slightly in Obama’s favor

Right. This whole "Catholics are liberal supporters of the welfare state" BS is either a consequence of outright lying or a failure to recognize that there isn't much in common between an American Catholic whose family hails from Bavaria vs. a Mexican "Catholic" who just ran across the border.

Politically, white Catholics tend to fall into the Reagan Democrat camp - pro-labor but anti-welfare state.

I don't think you can call Catholics "low information."
