Edward Snowden says he took a job with Booz Allen specifically so he could gather information on NSA

Edward Snowden said he accepted a job at contractor Booz Allen Hamilton to gain access to details of the National Security Agency's surveillance programs, a Chinese newspaper has reported. Snowden, who worked for Booz Allen Hamilton for roughly three months at an NSA facility in Hawaii, is now the subject of an international manhunt after leaking the highly classified documents. He told the South China Morning Post earlier this month that he gained the job as a systems administrator because of the access it afforded him, it said in an article published on Monday. 'My position with Booz Allen Hamilton granted me access to lists of machines all over the world the NSA hacked,' Snowden said, according to the article.

'That is why I accepted that position about three months ago.' He previously said that he took a pay cut to work for the company, where he was employed as a computer systems administrator.

“At this point its more likely that they would tell us he had given useful info when he hasn’t.

I for 1 haven’t forgotten them spying on us which is what pisses me off most.”

I'm thinking the chicoms already knew to what extent the NSA was spying on everyone. For whatever reason, they wanted to blow this up and somehow got Snowden to do what he did. Now the US looks foolish and the Communist Chinese are off the hook.

With all of that said, the American people still had the right to know about the govt. snooping into communications the people had always considered private. I mean, beyond just a few congress men who were sworn to secrecy anyway. Give me a break.

This whole thing smells like this guy was part of or used by the Marxist Left, which works in as many arenas as possible to bring down the U.S., regardless of who is in the presidency. The part about being disappointed with Obama is a cover story. The timing of this could very well be a diversion from the culpability of Obama and Hillary in withholding saving help from key American State Dept people.

So he joined specifically to leak information. He lied with all the oaths he swore and documents he signed promising not to betray US government secrets.
That's not a whistleblower, his plan was to stick it to the US all along.

Question: is [signing] a legal agreement conspiring to commit murder legally binding? [That is, would a contract forcing you to commit felonies be valid and/or enforceable?] Why or why not?
If it is not, then why would the agreement to be silent regarding the illegal actions of the government (for it was/is, as a matter of SOP, violating the highest law of the land) be binding? [Conspiracy Against Rights and Deprivation of Rights Under Color of Law are just two that such a non-disclosure agreement would make him party to.]

So then, if he knew that the Government was acting contraconstitutionally why would getting proof be bad faith on his part? Obviously in that scenario the party first effecting betrayal was the Government.

So he joined specifically to leak information.

Yeah. "Leak Information" on your precious 4th Amendment-Trashing Police State Gestapo who've been wasting billions in resources by unnecessarily and un-lawfully spying on Joe Schmoe instead of Abdul-Abu-Azizz-bin-Ali. Boo-Freaking-HOO! Have you filed your whine and cheese complaint with co-"patriots" James Clapper, Nancy Pelosi, Holder, Lindsey Graham and John McCain yet?

He lied with all the oaths he swore and documents he signed promising not to betray US government secrets.

So you want a man who refused to sell out an oath to the US Constitution and lie on behalf OF a reptilian government flogged? That it?

That's not a whistleblower, his plan was to stick it to the US all along.

YOUR plan and that of your fellow Police-State cultists are sticking IT to WE-THE-PEOPLE. We oppose your violation of our Constitutional Rights and feigned outrage over getting caught with your fangs in the cookie jar.

Ed Snowden, American Patriot. You and the other Police State Cultists: NOT-SO-MUCH.

TRAITOR! He planned to betray our Dear Leader in the White Hut from the beginning!

That's more like the truth of the matter. Not this Bravo Sierra. The oath to upholding the US Constitution OVERIDES any "oath" to a whore-for-hire domestic-spy subcontractor and any coercive employment contract.

The Police State Cultists must choose between We The People and their Dear Leader.

Never mind the NSA rape of the constitution.

But...but...bending over in the name of "security" is expected AND our duty! The Secret Police State Cultists demand it!

IMO, he was an agent for either Russia or China and they were getting close so he did his “leak” and hightailed it out of town. The leak was just his cover but he probably has more data that could help our adversaries either avoid detection or plant false information.

I still like that he proved Obambi a hypocrite again, but this does not really help us.

The Noble committee should revoke his award but they’ll probably give him another.

‘this is from a Chinese newspaper’

If this were true, instead of flitting about Hong Kong, Snowden would have gone directly to his preordained safe haven and would now be sipping Mai Tais on a beach somewhere.

Do you really believe the US government would admit it, if indeed he had?

I don't think Obama cares if any real strategic secrets are given away. I think he's only pissed because of the hit to his ratings due to his snooping on Americans.

Sarah Palin: “Snowden is not the problem. the problem is government violating our fourth amendment right, taking away our privacy.”

Once again, alone among our public “leaders” Sarah demonstrates a leader’s focus and toughness, separating for the clueless citizenry fascinated by the dancing celebrutards wheat from the chaff, trees from the forest. Sorry, but Snowden is now little more than the usual stuff of tabloids, of Peephole Magazine on your grocery checkstand. It’s time to recognize it!

("How did he get into the position to do that kind of damage?")

Thats not a question you're supposed to ask. You're supposed to concentrate on the Super Spy. LOL

HA!!

Yes, that and just how much Maxwell Smart has jeopardized CONTROL'S "national security" -- and NOT how the 4th Amendment has been flushed down the toilet by KAOS...

Not that we are forgetting that Dear Leader's policy is that NO Mosques are to be trifled with, nor was the Epic Fail of NOT monitoring the Boston Marathon bombers and their sloppy plan forgotten. Maybe had 300 million fewer suspects been monitored, THEY'D have been nabbed.

‘He was a system administrator.’

Trusted SAs are normally given the keys to the kingdom in order to be able to do their jobs. I would have thought that a position with the NSA would have required a probationary period until everyone was comfortable with his knowledge and trustworthiness.

Maybe not.

No way. But funny that you mention these hired "security" molesters. They'd also been shoving our 4A in the same place the USCON has been used as a suppository.

BINGO.

I'm trying to figure out why the Secret Police Stare Cultists are on HIS side on this issue -- along with Peter (The Liar) King, Graham, Pelosi, Clapper, Thune, and McCain. Strange bedfellows, eh?

Remind me again: WHO owns the Tabloids and the Media? Who possesses the clout and power and dirt to turn any person OR hero into a clown, a joke, a punchline?

Ridicule is the only weapon the Left, Statists and its media proxies have against The Truth.

I see your point but if this is the case, then why aren't patriotic NSA, FBI, CIA, etc. outing Obama/Valerie Jarrett/Brennan/Holder/muslim brotherhood?

Not sure on that one, since no disclosures of those people have occurred. What Snowden has disclosed so far has dealt mainly with his former employer's client - the NSA - as opposed to leaking information about Obama, his handlers, and any connections.

Of all the juiciest information he could leak - information that would incriminate the Executive Branch of the US Government - he's not leaking it. He's not even thrown one piece that isn't against his former employer's client.

The evidence is not adding up to Snowden making a direct opposition to Obama at this point. His information may imply something, but that's all there seems to be at this point.

Why isn't NSA, et. al doing something about it unless they themselves are complicit?

That's a difficult question to answer given that there's no publicly available evidence (as far as they're willing to disclose). One can only speculate to what they're doing.

Something will stick to Obama, but I don't see it coming from Snowden based on the evidence so far. It will have to come from the excessive weight of scandal - something that provides solid evidence.
