Revolt is coming.
If we are truly charitable, love our neighbors and desire the salvation of souls, we are compelled to tell others to turn from their sinful ways. To ignore sin is to turn our backs on our neighbors.
Please see post number 21. Revolt is coming down the road.
Know that THEY WILL LOSE in the end despite their efforts.
Sure, “ignore it”, like so many conservatives ignored the voting booth last November. We’re going to “ignore it” to our graves.
I think Christ would want us to fight not “ignore it”.
it’s amazing how abortion has become a part of the nation’s DNA . no mention of that at all
Oh, absolutely. And if not in this life, certainly the next, the eternal.
However, Christians in the U.S. will now be persecuted for their beliefs, just as our Lord and Savior was.
Here's the key: The State is not going to let you ignore it. Your church will accept it, affirm it and embrace it OR the full power of the State will come to rest on its neck. Make no mistake. Under the lacey pink glove of gay marriage lurks Ceasar's ring. You will kiss it or suffer the consequences.
I agree and everything in Charity. It is charitable to tell a sinner what they are doing is wrong so that they may not choose to go to Hell. Obviously, we must remove the beam in our own eyes first, which I’m sure you already know.
we are living in Rome and have become “the Christian problem”-
-and Christian churches who will not marry gays will lose their non profit status and/or be fined or both
-they will infiltrate churches and bring lawsuits against those who preach against the gayagenda-even if it is in love
-we will be practicing our faith in private homes like they did in Rome etc. and trusting only those that we know
-we are being persecuted and they will not allow us to ignore them; they will constantly be poking us with a stick until they have either taken over or destroyed every church in America
> Obviously, we must remove the beam in our own eyes first,
> which Im sure you already know.
Yeah, a veritable logjam in my case.
But if anybody asks me what I think, I’m not going to lie. Certainly, I will indicate that we are *ALL* sinners, regardless of the sin. But sin is still sin, whether the gummint sanctions it or not.

Homosexuality now has the imprimatur of the Supreme Court, the highest god of Liberalism. This will be the bludgeon used henceforth to conform or be demoted, not promoted, fired, shunned, etc. Further, in the majority opinion one of the justices said that not accepting homosexuality was hateful. HATEFUL. Now, this is the launching pad the homosexual mafia needs to destroy everyone else socially while they set up the actual torture racks.
To instruct the ignorant;
To counsel the doubtful;
To admonish sinners;
To bear wrongs patiently;
To forgive offences willingly;
To comfort the afflicted;
To pray for the living and the dead.
The highlighted ones are pertinent to the discussion at hand.
I’d go further (but not at quoting Scripture, which can turn into a tennis match, especially online).
I’d say that ignoring sin is in itself a sin — the underlying sin of sloth or greed or whatever induces a person to overlook sin. And then the sinner compounds it with a cosmetic lie, saying he’s being tolerant, or he’s trusting God to take care of everything, or he’s obeying the law as commanded in Scripture.
Lonsberry’s advice to ignore sin only validates the do-nothing sinners, their cowardice and sloth and the primacy of their material comfort (ie, greed).
Matthew 4: 8-9
8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 All this I will give you, he said, if you will bow down and worship me.
So apparently the power is the devil’s to give for a time.
It is high time that Christians realized that they have been had and stopped making themselves easy targets for derision by being single issue “easy button” voters in service to heaven only knows what. Government and belief are two entirely different things, don’t forget that this nation’s best friends during our revolution were a bunch of corrupt French aristocrats who basically had sex with anything that stood still long enough. God gave us brains, we need to use them!
Well said.
We will see a revolt coming from out of all of this.
What chaps me is how people think that holding onto their jobs and staying positioned for promotions are sacred beyond question; but don't ever suggest they worship Mammon, oh no.
My sins are legion, but I don't exalt wealth and comfort, and I don't feel at all tortured or persecuted to live on a yearly income below $10k (and the level at which one pays income tax). As long as I stay off robbreport.com, I'm pretty happy with my material life. If everyone tried it...that is, every taxpayer...there would be some profound political changes for the better in this nation.
But try convincing the patriotic liberty-lovin' Minutemen to cut their incomes and quit enabling the baby-killing moocher-feeding tyrant class they claim to loathe.
