Nothing. I just don't have faith in the bar to do the right thing.
The NC bar eventually booted Nifong. “The wheels of justice grind slow...”
I thought I must have missed it... does anyone know? The woman involved tends to lie - the person who wrote the letter should be put under oath.
Thank you!

On August 31, 2007, Smith held Nifong in criminal contempt of court, and sentenced him to one day in jail and a $500 fine.
On September 7, 2007, Nifong reported to the Durham County jail to serve a one-day jail sentence for contempt of court. He was held alone in a cell for his protection.
I don't think that was nearly enough jail time. An example needs to be made, to encourage the others.

“An honest judge would throw her behind bars for perjury.”
And dismiss the case. And recommend disbarment proceedings for the trial prosecutors and Angela Corey.
No one seems to be considering what will happen, though, if Zimmerman is acquitted. I fully expect the Just Us Department to file federal civil rights charges against Zimmerman, a la the Rodney King beating cops.
Holder will do this to appease the rioters: “his” people.
And gave him a day in jail. I'll keep the lights on.
The subject was about the Bar, not the courts. The NC Bar disbarred Nifong. The Bar itself couldn’t sentence him to jail for a minute. All they can do is strip him of his law license.
It was Francine or Francesca -- the same female who accompanied her to Jacksonville.
She wrote it but DD didn't understand it because she doesn't "read curses" but she signed it anyway using the name "Diamond Eugene" -- which is not her name -- "Eugene" being her mother's last name -- and yet the prosecutor allowed this document to be presented as legitimate in a legal proceeding.
That was the short answer.
I’m surprised this hasn’t yet been called a mistrial and everybody sent home.
LOL -- and so perfectly descriptive

If the jurors feel that way, then shame on them. If there are riots regardless of the outcome, then shame on us. What do riots prove? NOTHING!
What is with this Homeowners Association lawsuit? How can you sue someone without the verdict of the initial case? I’m confused.
me 3!
Facts are stubborn things.
The jurors are competent, and despite these hysterical projections I am reading, they will not vote to convict unless the State has proven its case beyond a reasonable doubt.
The State will be unable to do so. Zimmerman will be acquitted. Justice will prevail. Riots will probably not ensue, but if they do, they will backfire severely, to the extreme detriment of those who foment them.
Doubtless many will cling to the myth of Trayvon Martin's martyrdom. Myths are powerful things. But most thinking people, including those in the black community, having been exposed to the facts of the incident, will have to face the reality that this was not a case of second degree murder.
Our jury system is one of the few things in this country which still retain the faith of the People. The main problem with juries nowadays is that they are not fully informed.
Exactly what I had planned to post. What good are race riots? Well, for one thing, it will provide the Mombasa Moonbeam a delightful diversion from his present troubles. He will step in and in his typical fashion, inflame the situation, perhaps to the point of racial war. He is probably already rubbing his hands together in gleeful anticipation. This just sort of fell into his lap. Division and polarization of the races has been part of his plan all along. I hate that an insane man like Charles Manson may have been correct in predicting that there would be a terrible race war.
I hope you’re not teaching your students about Manson theories.
