Another Race-based Show Trial Turns Into Farce
AmericanThinker.com ^ | 6/30/2013 | Clarice Feldman

To date, the prosecution has put on a number of witnesses who also confirm Zimmerman's account of events. There's not one shred of evidence that supports the prosecution's view of the case. "Taps" should have been the background music for the key prosecution witness "Dee Dee" whose real name turns out to be Rachel Jeantel. She was on the phone with Trayvon when the incident occurred and her letter to Trayvon's mother purportedly describing the events and her deposition by the Martin's attorney, Crump, form the heart of the prosecution's case.

*snip*

It turns out the letter the prosecution relied on was written by someone else, and while Jeantel signed it she cannot even read the cursive in which it was written. The Martins' counsel choreographed her account of the events and he misled the Court about the circumstances.

The prosecution also was exceedingly unprofessional, while taking pretrial testimony from her, in having her make her statement in the presence of Trayvon's mother whom she was manipulated into "helping" by tailoring her testimony to make it possible for the state to come up with this factually unsubstantiated murder charge. The prosecution was forced to concede at trial that the witness lied numerous times and if you watch her in this exchange -- just one example of her performance -- you can see why the statements of a not very smart witness coached and manipulated to say things that are untrue rarely survive decent cross examination: She had said that she could hear the sound of "wet grass" when the tussle began. She was asked to describe what wet grass sounds like and was dumbfounded.

Does anyone know who the 'friend' is who wrote the letter? Was it a member of the Trayvon team?

I’m expecting that Mr. Zimmerman will be acquitted of the filed charges, but convicted of a lesser charge of some sort if that is possible for the jury to do.

IMHO yes! This whole trial is a sham created by the Trayvon team, the media, Zero and his Just-Us Deptartment.

The pressure to convict will be enormous.
Watch for the names and addresses of the jury to be leaked.
They will be told they will be responsible for the rioting and damage done if they dare to acquit. The racism pimps are not going to let this one get away.

When this is all over, and Zimmerman has not been found guilty, he needs to get the meanest lawyer he can find. He needs to go after the media for their fake reporting that lead to the racial problems we are witnessing. I’d offer the lawyer 50% of the profits just to jam it to the media.

You are correct. The jurors will know if they vote to acquit, they will never have a normal life again and will be hunted down.

I watched that ignorant cow one day and could not understand a word she was saying apparently neither could the jury..They had to ask the judge to have her speak up..I don't think it mattered one way or the other how loud she spoke she had nothing but ignorant answers and rude at that..

LOOK for looting and violence if Zimmerman is not convicted..

You got it! That’s EXACTLY what it is. I just hope the police are ready, the jury has a lick of sense and acquits. This sham is soooo Duke and Nifong.

A legal type on FOX yesterday said there will be a lesser manslaughter available, but it too, will be hard to prove. Hope he’s right.

Any looting and violence will be different than in past riots because of the ability to coordinate via Obamaphone. Flash riots can be much more dangerous and damaging to lives and property.

I’ve seen no mentions at all of a possibility of convicting GZ on any lesser charges. I’d think that if such a thing were possible, it would have been discussed in at least some of the trial coverage.

I called foul the first time I saw the letter. It’s was just too ridiculous to be true. Not that she cared, but if she can’t read curvise then she doesn’t know what she signed her name to. An honest judge would throw her behind bars for perjury.

Not sure how that will work out in the case of a sequestered jury. If threats do get through to the jury or if any member of the jury gets wind of it from TV and relays to the other jurors, wouldn’t the judge be forced to dismiss the jury, declare a mistrial.

The goal of the Circus in Sanford is to get both the Florida Stand Your Ground Law and the Castle Doctrine struck down.

This creates court precedent for Leftist activists to get similar laws in other states stricken from the books.

The end result? Citizens cannot defend themselves when the Gibsmedats come boiling out of the urban kraals.

Back-door Gun Control, legislated from the bench. That’s all there ever is or was to this case.

Striking terror into Whitey's heart is a twofer.

I expect that after 5 excrutiating minutes of deliberation the jury will acquit Zimmerman as there is no evidence whatsoever that he committed any crime. Its not a crime to follow someone. Its also not a crime to ask someone what they are doing around here.

However it is a crime to jump somone and get on top of them and slam their head into a concrete sidewalk repeatedely MMA style. Its called assault and battery. I would have shot that kid the minute I was thrown to the ground. Zimmerman waited way longer than I would have.

She should at least instruct the jury to ignore her testimony.

Given the racial component and the current state of American jurisprudence, I'm expecting Zimmerman to be railroaded.
