The Truth About the Homosexual Rights Movement
http://www.virtueonline.org/portal/modules/news/article.php?storyid=3650#.UdWjytj2RLz ^ | February 2006 | Ronald G. Lee

There was a "gay" bookstore called Lobo's in Austin, Texas, when I was living there as a grad student. The layout was interesting. Looking inside from the street all you saw were books. It looked like any other bookstore. There was a section devoted to classic "gay" fiction by writers such as Oscar Wilde, Gertrude Stein, and W.H. Auden. There were biographies of prominent "gay" icons, some of whom, like Walt Whitman, would probably have accepted the homosexual label, but many of whom, like Whitman's idol, President Lincoln, had been commandeered for the cause on the basis of evidence no stronger than a bad marriage or an intense same-sex friendship. There were impassioned modern "gay" memoirs, and historical accounts of the origins and development of the "gay rights" movement. It all looked so innocuous and disarmingly bourgeois. But if you went inside to browse, before long you noticed another section, behind the books, a section not visible from the street. The pornography section. Hundreds and hundreds of pornographic videos, all involving men, but otherwise catering to every conceivable sexual taste or fantasy. And you would notice something else too. There were no customers in the front. All the customers were in the back, rooting through the videos. As far as I know, I am the only person who ever actually purchased a book at Lobo's. The books were, in every sense of the word, a front for the porn. - snip -

- snip - When I was growing up, we were all presumed to be heterosexual. Then homosexuality was introduced as an alternative. That did not at first seem like a major revision because, apart from procreation, homosexuality, at least in theory, left the rest of the traditional sexual ethic in tact. Two people of the same gender could (in theory) fall in love and live a life of monogamous commitment. Then bisexuality was introduced, and the real implications of the sexual revolution became clear. Monogamy was out the window. Moral norms were out the window. Do-it-yourself sexuality became the norm. Anyone who wants to know what that looks like can do no better than go online. The Internet offers front row seats to the circus of a disintegrating civilization. - snip - Here is the terrifying fact: If we as a nation and as a Church allow ourselves to be taken in by the scam of monogamous same-sex couples, we will be welcoming to our Communion rails (presuming that we still have Communion rails) not just the statistically insignificant number of same-sex couples who have lived together for more than a few years (most of whom purchased stability by jettisoning monogamy); we will also be legitimizing every kind of sexual taste, from old-fashioned masturbation and adultery to the most outlandish forms of sexual fetishism. We will, in other words, be giving our blessing to the suicide of Western civilization. - snip - **************************

I have linked to this article a number of times. However, given the recent SC decision, I thought it might be helpful to post it to the forum at large.

This is a long article (a half-hour to an hour read), but (imo) is worth the time spent.

Hundreds and hundreds of pornographic videos, all involving men,

lol. What else would they have in a gay book store? I just think that sentence is ridiculous. All gay people are sick and apparently the author was a big customer since he is so aware of the set up of the store.

Some places stock dead inventory that never sells to have sufficient non-”sexually explicit” material as to not be classified as a “sexually oriented business”.

Yes, he says he thought of himself as gay for 20 years.

The book store is sort of a metaphor for the whole gay rights movement.

I quote from an unknown source.

Our culture has accepted two huge lies:
1) If you disagree with someones lifestyle you must fear or hate them.
2) To love someone means you agree with everything they believe or do.

Both of these concepts are nonsense. You do not have to compromise your personal convictions to be compassionate.

Homosexuals have the right to be homosexuals, but they do not have the right to pedophilia or telling others they must accept their sexually deviant behaviors such as having unsupervised access to our children.

The article is very good. It exposes the Potemkin Village aspect of the Homosexual lifestyle which is really just complete degeneracy. Unhealthy for the participants and the greater society.

telling others they must accept their sexually deviant behaviors such as having unsupervised access to our children.

And you can bet that is where they are going. They want it so that we are legally gagged from protesting about the math teacher who wears a dress and a moustache while teaching our kids.

Next stop, lower the age of consent.

That was an excellent article, jonno. Thanks for posting the link.

As a Christian, I feel only sadness when I think about the direction this country is heading. Homosexuality is a terrible affliction, and I pity homosexuals. That would probably infuriate them, but I do believe they are a very sad lot indeed.

I liked the author’s conclusion that it doesn’t even pay to attempt to debate scripture with homosexuals. They are either right or wrong. If wrong, the wickedness and degeneracy of their lives will eventually be obvious to all.

Perhaps America needs to permit the “gay marriage” delusion in order to see where it leads. As the author wrote, it doesn’t lead to happy, monogamous homosexual marriages. I wish we could avoid the pain and suffering this will bring to so many people (who could make peace with God and stop striving for evil), but people often don’t learn until they suffer the results of their errors.

I oppose sodomite marriage to be sure, but I’m resigned to the fact that America is probably going to choose to play with this particular fire. I will do whatever I can to warn people and stop us from making a terrible mistake, but I respect freedom and liberty, too. God gives us the freedom to choose between good or evil, too. I hope we choose good. I’m prepared for evil.

As a Christian, my future is assured. No matter what course America takes, God keeps His word to His believers. It will all be OK either way for those of us who love the Lord.

He talks as if there is a Western Civilization to save.

What we have now, and for quite some time, are just the fumes of a gas tank that was emptied years, if not decades or centuries ago.

I personally feel that we are going into one of those long term downtrends that could last for centuries; something akin to the "Dark Ages" after the fall of Rome.

I really don't see how the next Great Awakening happens. Yes there are too many people on the dole, and yes we will run out of money and horrible decisions will have to be made, but they will be made according to liberal and secular ideas based on "scientific" methods. The old will be encouraged to die sooner. The world will be made unsafe for tax dodgers so that every successful business and individual will pay into the welfare system, science will make some things cheaper, etc.

I can imagine crazy things happening such as conservatives moving in droves to Russia or Africa to live in more Christian friendly countries. Or maybe just small groups hunkering down in the hills of Tennessee or up in the northern part of Idaho and waiting for the whole thing to collapse, hoping it will come back before they die. But it won't. It won't come back until maybe after their great-grandchildren die.

Thank you for posting. Sad that millions will not take the time to read and/or cannot understand its depth of truth.

Most people have not had any encounters with gays or spent time around them so their lifestyle is foreign. But, when you ask then if they’d like their children to be taught or lead (scouts, Sunday School teacher) by a homosexual, they wake up a bit and find it hard to allow.

Love the sinner, not the sin!

They have the right to sodomize each other all they want, but when they assault others, demand special rights, etc, that is not homosexuality; e.g. sodomy. That is beyond their rights to have sex with whatever adult partner they want; that is a violation of everyone else’s rights.

“They also don’t have a right to other people’s children.”

I said that, just to be clear.

They want access. They push for it. It is why they want us to accept their deviant behavior. I don’t. I do not trust homosexuals. If they can’t be trusted to act properly in their personal life then they have no business being involved in mine.

Judaism's Sexual Revolution: Why Judaism Rejected Homosexuality

When Judaism demanded that all sexual activity be channeled into marriage, it changed the world. The Torah's prohibition of non-marital sex quite simply made the creation of Western civilization possible.

We have a local “adult novelty” store. They claimed to only sell lingerie . They later moved to videos. Then they petitioned the town to allow “movie rooms”. Luckily the town was smart enough to know they are fronts for prostitution and denied them.
They still claim to be a legit business but they planted trees to hide their parking lot from view.

There were two homosexual leaders in my Boy Scout troop (c. 1970's). They failed to inform anyone of their sexual proclivities. And, yes, they're both in prison today for molesting children.

There is something dreadfully wrong with a movement that attempts to “normalize” sexual deviant behavior. It has gone beyond promoting mere “tolerance” for a destructive “lifestyle” to a position of militant advocacy that denies the natural order that prefers heterosexual behavior.

We are told that the Church opposes same-sex love. Not true. The Church opposes homogenital sex, which in my experience is not about love, but about obsession, addiction, and compensation for a compromised masculinity.

Excellent comment. Homosexuals who engage in the sexual lifestyle are narcissists, and by definition cannot love someone else. It is always all about themselves, which is antithetical to Christianity.

Now all of them could go back to pretending that gay men were all young and beautiful forever. Gentle reader, do you know what a "bug chaser" is? A bug chaser is a young gay man who wants to contract HIV so that he will never grow old.

It's a lifestyle of despair and living for those brief moments of sexual release.

“I guess no one ever taught you civics, so I’m just going to have to do it: You have the right to do anything you damned well please unless it violates the rights of others. That’s freedom. It doesn’t need any further explanations.”

Really? Because the Declaration of Independence states as a self-evident truth that our Creator endows us with rights.

Unless rights have a source, unless they are grounded in more than a person’s subjective judgment of what violates the rights of others, they mean nothing.

Your definition of freedom has led to the killing of well over 50 million innocent babies, not to mention what it has done to the institution of the family.

It has led to the United States Supreme Court endorsing sodomite play-pretend marriage.

It is very likely to bring us legalized child molestation in the near future, simply by persuading the Supreme Court that children are not harmed by sex with adults.

God is the source of true rights, which means that nothing which offends Him can be a right. He extends to humanity the freedom to choose Evil, but there is a critical difference between a freedom to do Evil and a right to do Evil—the latter cannot exist.

Sodomites are extended the freedom to engage in their loathsome perversions by the United States Government and by God. However, there is not, nor can there ever be, a right to engage in such Evil.
